(c.1921), to [Clifford] Bax, on the printed stationery of Form, a monthly magazine of the arts. Spare informs his correspondent, in part, 'So pleased to have your contribution - would you mind if it appeared in the Dec: number? The first is finished: No 2 in hand and already a large number but will try to include it by leaving out my own article and a double page plate... Let me say how much I liked it. Very original & most interesting, and I'm keen on work that has a psychological bearing. I want more of it... I attach much value to your story.' Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me is a 1999 American spy action comedy film and the second instalment in the Austin Powers series. It is preceded by the original film, Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery (1997) and followed by Austin Powers in Goldmember (2002). The film was directed by Jay Roach, co-written by Mike Myers and screenwriter Michael McCullers, and once again stars Myers as the title character. Myers also plays Dr. Evil and Fat Bastard. A Royal Worcester cup and saucer, hand painted with panels of fruit, signed Ricketts, together with a matching cup and saucer (the saucer signed Cole, the cup signed W.H. Austin), saucers 9.5cm, (4). CONDITION REPORT: The saucer signed W. H. Austin has a small chip to the rim. Other pieces good with typical surface wear.
A William and Mary silver Chinoiserie mug, maker's mark of IA in a script monogram, probably for John Austin, London 1689, tapering circular form, engraved with oriental figures in landscape settings, reeded bands and scroll handle, the front with an armorial within foliate mantling, the base scratch initialled '1695' 'A.H' over 'A.H', also stamped 'W. T. ANDREW', height 8.8cm, approx. weight 6.9oz. The shield is that of Hayne of Fryer Wadon, Dorset, granted in 1604.
