Royal Worcester hand painted fruit decorated six place coffee set, the coffee cans and saucers by artists including Moseley, Townsend, Bagnall, Stanley, Everett, Austin, etc., within fitted case. Some scratches and flaws to the paintwork.  Cups appear reasonable free from crazing.  Everett cup handle has been broken off and poorly restored.  Gilded interiors and central sections of saucers appear dull and scuffed.  Gilding on handles dull and scratched.  In need of a good clean.  Austin and another cup have hairlines running length of base.  Visible from base and interior.  Case broken at hinges.  Please see additional images.

This competition Mini, from the late 1990's, was raced by Graham Churchill. It was also believed to have been used in the ICS. It comes with a 998cc Mini Cooper engine with earlier 12G202 cylinder head and fitted onto a 22A1288 3‑synchro Cooper S gearbox complete with remote, however, we understand this car was raced originally with a 1460cc Swiftune engine in period. The Weber DCOE carburettor is fed from a foam filled alloy race tank and from a double ended SU fuel pump. Also supplied Austin 1100 large capacity radiator. 3 branch exhaust manifold, 2" exhaust system. Both subframes powder‑coated, fitted with Minisport Hi Lo adjustable suspension, Spax adjustable dampers, heavy duty Tie Bars, currently fitted with Cooper S 7.5" front brakes, also supplied with Cooper 7" brakes. All on a set of original period alloy Dunlop wheels. The car retains the fibreglass bonnet and boot‑lid and a handful of spare wheel arches. The original fibreglass doors are missing, so supplied with a pair of standard steel doors. The period accessory Sundym glass set is fitted into brand new screen rubbers. One rear quarter window is missing. It comes only with paperwork relating to registration URO 646E but there is no history or any other documentation present.

Large Victorian 4in Telescope & Stand with Provenance, English/French, c.1879, signed to the body tube 'DOCTEUR Arthur CHAVALIER, Opticien Officer d Acudinire, 158 PALAIS – ROYAL 158, PARIS', and to the lens cap 'George Cecil Ives, November 1879', also the inside of the eyepiece mount is engraved 'J.B. 30 November 76', the telescope tube ( 142cm long) with rack and pinion focusing, star finder and lens cap, on substantial French polished mahogany & brass with large brass gearing to height adjustment, telescope with three eyepieces and filters, in large stained pine travel case, case length 151cm.George Cecil Ives (1 October 1867 in Germany – 4 June 1950) was an English poet, writer, penal reformer and early homosexual law reform campaigner. He founded the British Society for the Study of Sex Psychology. In 1931, the organisation became the British Sexological Society. Ives was the archivist for the Society whose papers are now held by the Harry Ransom Center at the University of Texas at Austin. Ives met Oscar Wilde at the Authors' Club in London in 1892. Ives was already working for the end of the oppression of homosexuals, what he called "the Cause." He hoped that Wilde would join "the Cause", but was disappointed. He died in London but was buried in the village of Bentworth, HampshireCondition ReportThe stand is made of mahogany finished with French polish and in very good condition. The gearing and adjustments are all in very good condition and work well. The telescope optics are good with no delamination fungus or scratches other than light cleaning marks. LTD, 1930 the carved hull with bilge keel, lowered companionway and white painted propeller with lined rudder, red painted deck with white lined hatch covers and painted wood and metal fittings as appropriate, cutaway masts and funnel, fitted open boat in davits, bridge with binnacle over, telegraphs and other details, mounted on front-silvered mirror within glazed case with angled bow/stern mirrors and ivorine builder's plate --14½ x 47in. (37 x 119.5cm.)Footnote: S.S. Sea Valour was built by S.P. Austin & Son, Sunderland in 1930 for the Dover Nav. Co. Ltd. and registered 1950 tons. She was bought by the D/S Alf Lindos, Rederi Haugesund Norway in 1946 and renamed Skoghaug. In 1947, on her way from Rotterdam to Oslo carrying a cargo of coals, she sank after an explosion in stormy weather. Of the crew of 27, only one survived. After a diver's examination, it was found that the explosion was caused by an exploding boiler, and not a stray mine as had been suspected.Condition report: paint crazed with some bubbling to black top sides, one or two areas of filling. Mirrors in good condition. Some modest wear to case moulding.
