GRETA SEQUEIRA VALENTINE A portrait of Lamorna Birch Oil on canvas 61 x 51cm. Signed Provenance, the estate of Lamorna Birch. Note Greta Valentine was the wife of Birch's last patron, the Scottish fine art publisher Ranald Valentine. This portrait was painted at Valentine's home in Coupar Angus in 1940 when Birch was aged 71. Greta was then an art student and later became Birch's muse and constant companion at society functions and private view days at the Royal Academy and a guest at his home in Lamorna. A scarce unboxed Tri-ang Spot-On 156 Mulliner Coach in silver over blue with red flash, overall appears G+ with partial loss to the side flash and rear 'Triang Tours' decals and total loss to front and rear number plate decals. Chromed plastic trim to front and rear appears good and complete. Also included in this lot are an unboxed 154 Austin A40 in red, G, and a Second Edition Spot-On Catalogue, unmarked, and a 1962 Price List. (3)

2 Wills Finecast Auto-Kits factory produced cars. An MG ‘M’ Sports. MC 8804 registration number. Plus an Austin 7 Open Tourer. Both in black with black interiors and spoked wheels. VGC light cleaning required. The 1:24 scale metal and resin model cars in the Lots below all belonged to the late Ron Platt engineer, friend and colleague of Bob Will’s whose company Wills Finecast manufactured all the Auto-Kit Range. Ron was one of the pattern makers and principle model builder. Some of the models are unique in so far as the colours are outside the published range for the collection.
