A 1960 Austin Se7en Mini Countryman De-Luxe, registration number 4507 MH, chassis number A-A W7/38706, engine number 8AM U H/45721, body number 267, Tartan red. This extremely rare Mini has a build date of 16th June 1960, a full three months before the official launch date. It was despatched on 25th July to Cars Mart Ltd, Welsh Harp, London. The Mini is well known to the Owner's Club and is believed to be the second oldest known survivor. 4507 MH is a matching numbers car which has covered only a believed 78,000 miles from new. The vendor has recently restored the Mini but has retained as much originality as possible, as can be seen by the original windscreen wiper motor and correct brake and clutch Servo cylinders in the engine bay. The interior still retains its original red and grey brocade upholstered seats and internal fuel tank. The body has been rebuilt and resprayed in the original colour by Cotswold Classic Car Restoration (receipt on file for £7,200) and the woodwork has been repaired and revarnished. The finished car now presents extremely well with just the right amount of patina. This early countryman is offered for auction with an accompanying file and offers an excellent opportunity to purchase an extremely rare Mini. V5C, no MOT See back cover and other illustrations
