A rare Dinky Toys U.N. Austin Champ. (674). Finished in the correct white livery with olive green mudguards and late style plastic wheel hubs. Plastic steering wheel with spare wheel hung to the rear. Seats are correct in that they have no holes for personnel to be fitted. Export only model. Plate. 3

In procefs of time Ernesius by ye advice of Anselm Ach. Bp. of Canterbury perswaded Wm. to accept of some of those generous offers & form a Convent which was done, & they chose ye order of Canons regular of St. Austin - An. Val. £99=19=0``. S.& N. A signed drawing of a 1930s racing car at speed 1930s, in coloured pencil, depicting the car at speed from the front, signed in black pencil by Prince Bira, Bert Hadley and one other hand. 13.5 x 9.75in. (34 x 24.5cm.) * The car pictured is possibly an Austin 850, as raced by Bert Hadley against Bira, in a Maserati 8CM, in the Crystal Palace 15 lap 30 mile race on 14th August 1937. Hadley finished 1st and Bira 2nd on the day.
