Lot 501

Just two owners from new, with single ownership for over 20 years and covering just 734 miles from new.  Amazingly, the car has been serviced, MOT'd and cared for every year of its life, and recently was treated to a five-layer ceramic coating, including the underside. Truly outstanding. After 41 years and with the end in sight, Rover decided to mark the classic Mini’s long life with a penultimate limited-edition prior to the arrival of BMW’s new ‘MINI’. Following the popularity of the ‘Sport Pack’ Minis offered from 1997-2000, it was to be known as the “Mini Cooper Sport” and some 2,200 (1,000 RHD) were built between March and October 2000. They were a totally separate model and externally they could be distinguished by their muscular stance with flared wheel arches and 13" sports alloy wheels, four spot lamps and Platinum-coloured roof and bonnet stripes. The 'Sport' also featured an updated interior with stylish nickel-silver and black leather trim, drilled and polished alloy door and window handles, and a Sport dash in turned alloy silver and black finish. This remarkable example has a lovely, wholesome story behind it and couldn’t be presented in better order for its first time coming to public sale. Originally registered on 05/09/2000, this pretty Sport, one of 267 finished in British Racing Green, has covered just 734 miles from new with 370 of those miles being added in the last two years. Unlike the vast majority of very low mileage cars, this Mini has been taxed, insured, MOT’d and serviced every single year of its life without fail, regardless of mileage. Once it had received a service and MOT, it went straight back into its single heated garage. The car was the pride and joy of our vendor’s cousin who bought it new and evidently cherished it like no other. She kept the Mini until her passing in 2020 at which point a family member purchased the car from the estate, maintaining it’s single family ownership from new.The history file features a selection of old tax discs and MOTs, the original purchase invoices, its original book pack and associated books, a comprehensive and a chronological work history report from Bailey Automotive who serviced and MOT’d the car every year in our vendors ownership. To preserve the outstanding originality of the car, New Look Detailing were commissioned to carry out a meticulous five-stage ceramic coating to the entire car, including the underside, in order to future-proof its perfection. With a history of caring ownership, the tiny mileage and in stunning condition, this fabulous little Mini Cooper Sport will be right at home in any collection of rare Minis or at the home of any Mini enthusiast. SpecificationMake: MINIModel: COOPER SPORTYear: 2000Chassis Number: SAXXNPAZEYD183642Registration Number: X351 NBJTransmission: ManualEngine Number: 12A2LK70395781Drive Side: Right-hand DriveOdometer Reading: 734 MilesMake: RHDInterior Colour: Black and Grey LeatherClick here for more details and images

Lot 33

1985 Range Rover 3947cc V8 6-wheel 4 Door 4-wheel drive A very rare opportunity to acquire a coach built 6-wheel Range Rover Classic Registration: C546 BFB Chassis: SALLHABV8AA146445 Odometer:10918 Transmission:Manual   MOT: January 2024 Guide £9,000-£11,000 • Fitted with matching General Grabber tyres all round  • Electric glass sliding sunroof • Bespoke leather and velour interior  .  Runs on petrol or LPG • Freshly MOT tested  Outside Whilst there are no obvious signs of rust, the paintwork is of a poor-quality finish and has issues on every panel, which range from micro blistering to sinkage. This could be dramatically improved with a professional cut and polish. The upper and lower tailgates are not suffering from the corrosion issues that is very common. The body kit is without damage, however the body colour paint to the spot lamps has lifted in areas. All the lenses to the lighting units are without damage. The wheels are in good order though would benefit from polishing. The matching BF good rich tyres are showing plenty of tread depth. Inside  The interior is trimmed in leather and velour which is without any rips or tears though showing wear to the driver’s seat bolster. The door cars and headlining are again in good order overall with just a few small issues abound the sunroof area. The wood capping’s to three of the doors shows wear and minor damage , The dashboard is made up of wood and leather and is tatty around the area of the original radio fitment which is blank , though there is a Panasonic face off radio unit. The whole interior would benefit from tidying up and a through deep clean. Mechanicals The Range Rover starts instantly and the engine sound super smooth. When driven around our yard , the steering , brakes and suspension all performed without issue and the gear changes were smooth. Freshly MOT tested on 25th January , our car is ready to use and improve if so required. Our Opinion  Glenfrome were an English coach builder in the 1980's who specialised in Range Rovers. They were responsible for extended wheel base models as our car is but also 6 door , convertible , off roaders , ceremonial and hunting vehicles. The sultan of Brunei was an enthusiastic customer. This is a good solid vehicle that could be a blank canvas for customisation to your own taste.

Lot 4

1961 Rover P4 100 2625cc 4 door saloon Offered with the original red leather interior and toolkit Registration: BJT 154A Chassis: 650101816 Odometer: 69000 Transmission: Manual MOT: Exempt No Reserve Outside The Rover is finished in the striking colour scheme of smoke grey over marine grey which suits the car very well. The bodywork appears to be free of rust in all the usual areas of the bottom of the doors, wings and sills. The paintwork is in fair overall order though there is a small dent and scratch on the off side rear wing and a few stone chips to the bonnet area. The chrome is reasonable though there is some pitting and the rear bumper is very dull and would benefit from chrome paint which is an economical alternative. The wheels are in good order with the trims and hub caps without damage. The tyres are matching Federal classic radials and have plenty of tread. Inside  The interior of the Rover is a very nice place to sit with delightful patinated brown leather interior that is without any rips or tears. It is worth noting that one of the seams on the rear seat needs stitching. The woodwork is dull and could be polished if required. The wood area to the driver’s door window has a small crack.  The door cards are in fair order though the lower carpet panel on the drivers door shows some wear . The carpets are reasonable though the drivers footwell has signs of damage. The headlining is very good and pleasingly the dashboard light is operational. The correct tool kit sits under the dashboard and still contains the two correct grey touch up paints. The dashboard and instruments are all in good order. Mechanicals   The Rover fires into life and the six-cylinder engine is silky smooth and sounds very good indeed with no undue noises or rattles. Driving around our yard the P4 ran well, stopping in a straight line with sharp brakes, supple suspension and smooth gear changes. History There is very little paperwork with the car apart from a V5c, old MOT certificate and an invoice from 2016 detailing the recommissioning work to the value of £2469.89. Our Opinion  These cars are hugely undervalued and are an inexpensive route to the fabulous world of classic luxury motoring. The Rover is in delightful patinated condition which means it can be used without fear of damage. These cars are easy to maintain, spares readily available and supported by the excellent Rover Sports register car club.

Lot 5

1938 Rover 10 1398cc 4 door saloon Original brown leather seating and registration number  Registration:  EYL 698 Chassis: 802230 Odometer: 92,000 Transmission:  Manual MOT: Exempt No Reserve Outside Finished in the very traditional pre-war colour of black. Whilst there is no signs of rust on the body , the paint has issues all over the car , looking good from 10 feet but closer inspection reveals micro blistering to most panels which some may say adds to the charm and usability. The chrome is aged but in serviceable condition and matches the paint , though the Lucas side lights have lost all there finish and are down to the under paint. The wheels are in good order and the tyres have plenty of tread depth. Inside This is where the magic of this car really shines. The seats are original and in fine condition with the exception of the seam on the offside rear seat having a split and a small tear on the front passenger seat. The door cards and headlining are without issue. Mechanicals  The Rover starts readily and when driven around our yard appeared to perform well, stopping and steering as sit should though we have not had the opportunity to test if the Freewheel function is operational. History This charming Rover was registered in London central on 2nd June 1938. Sadly, little is known about its history other than it has had five former keepers and been in the current ownership since 2015. Our Opinion This is an inexpensive opportunity to enter the fabulous world of pre-war motoring. The Rover is in delightful patinated condition which means it can be used without fear of damage and of course would allow entry to the highly popular “oily rag” events. These cars are easy to maintain , spares readily available and supported by the excellent Rover Sports register car club.

Lot 6

1993 Rover Mini Mayfair 1275cc automatic 2 door saloon Only 2 former keepers and recent works completed to the value of circa £3000 Registration:  L862 KVO Chassis: SAXXNWADKBD073612 Odometer: 55,000 Transmission:  Automatic  MOT: This will have a fresh MOT upon collection  No Reserve   .Offered in original factory specification  . One ownership for 22 years and 10 years in storage 2006 to   . Correct Rover audio equipment   . Recent new head gasket, tyres, brakes, exhaust, water pump along with a comprehensive service   . Supplied with a selection of invoices, jack, wheel brace and spare wheel  Outside  Finished in the original colour of red with standard wheels and exterior trim.  The paintwork appears to be largely original though the bonnet is a slightly darker shade of red than the rest of the car. There is some light surface rust to both front wings around the seams and it has been touched in at some point. There are some light blisters on both doors and the rear offside quarter panel just above the sill line. The chrome work is without any issues and the overall appearance is one of an very original car. Inside  Standard factory cloth interior with correct Mayfair wooden dashboard that has no cracks or blemishes. The seats, carpets and headlining are without any damage and show very little signs of wear. There is however a very small mark on the driver’s door panel around the door handle area. Mechanicals The Mini starts readily on the key and the engine runs very sweetly. There is however a small blow on the manifold which will need correcting. On the road it performs well with the automatic gearbox changing up and down without issue. The brakes are very effective and there and no rattles or squeaks from the suspension units. History  The history file comprises of various invoices and receipts whilst in the current ownership since 2019. The bills on file amount to circa £3000 which cover works to the subframe, exhaust, tyres, engine and steering, the last works carried out in August 2022. Our Opinion A rare opportunity to acquire a low mileage Mini that remains largely as it left the factory. After the period of storage, it has been recommissioned and all the important works attended to. There is a real charm to any classic mini and this being one of the last models that was not fuel injected adds to the appeal. A great car for the classic shows or just to use and enjoy.

Lot 9

1998 Land Rover Defender 90 WOLF 2,5 litre 300TDI 4 wheel drive utility vehicle Ex MOD Offered in original specification Note To Bidders; This vehicle is subject to VAT on the hammer price therefore VAT at 20% will be added to the hammer price and the buyers premium.   Registration: Not registered Chassis:  SALLDAA67V112754 Odometer: 135000 kms Transmission:  Manual MOT: None Guide £9,000- £11,000 + vat  • Fitted with rear seats  • Full roll cage  • Unaltered military specification Outside As to be expected of an Ex MOD Wolf, most bodywork panels will have had a knock or a scrape, with the front near side wing having had a bit of impact damage. There is a new top to the drivers door and as usual with Wolfs the chassis is good and free from rot as the uprated chassis were given extra corrosion protection from the factory. The PVC hood looks in good order with no rips or tears. The 4 Wolf wheels are in good order with decent tyres.  Inside Not much to note about the interior, as basic as they come, although everything appears to be present and correct.  Mechanics  Under the bonnet there's a reconditioned replacement 300 TDI engine which can be identified by the turquoise paint and the plate on the rocker cover detailing it was fitted in 2015. It starts and runs well, pulls through all the gears and stops as its should. The vehicle will need MOT'ing before registering for the road so will no doubt need some remedial work to get the MOT.  History  Our Wolf was repatriated last year from Kenya along with a number of others, hence the desert coloured camouflage and on returning to the UK has had some new parts fitted as they had all been liberated by Kenyans local to military base where they were stationed. As mentioned above the vehicle has had a replacement reconditioned engine fitted in 2015 and there is now way of knowing how many miles this engine will have covered Our Opinion  Defender Wolfs cannot be compared to a standard Defender 90 as they have many uprated features from the factory, these include strengthened and rust proofed chassis, full internal roll cage, higher power output engine and uprated differentials. This Wolf looks like a great vehicle to use as is or improve and modify as you see fit. We have sold a few through our plant auctions that have been modified into quite special vehicles. It will be supplied with MOD release document in order for the winning bidder to register for the road after an MOT has been obtained.
