1992 Rover Mini (British Open Classic) Transmission: manualMileage:55375The Mini was made by the British Motor Corporation (BMC) and its successors from 1959 until 2000. The original is considered a British icon of the 1960s and its space-saving front-wheel drive layout, which allowed 80% of the car's floorpan to be used for passengers and luggage, influenced a generation of car makers. In 1999, the Mini was voted the second most influential car of the 20th century, behind the Ford Model T. Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, the British market received numerous 'special editions' of the Mini which shifted the car from a mass-market vehicle into a fashion icon.Originally registered on 1st August 1992 this 'British Open Classic' Mini has been well cared for. Described by the enthusiastic vendor as driving with no known faults, this Mini is finished in metallic green with beige interior. A wooden dash has been fitted to enhance the cockpit area and the car benefits from having a full length sunroof, which has just been replaced by the vendor. These cars are great and never fail to attract admiring glances when out on the open road. Supplied with a V5C registration document and a current MoT test certificate valid until 3rd August 2023. 1963 Land Rover Series IIA Transmission: manualMileage:72490The 1963 Land Rover Series IIA was a versatile and rugged off-road vehicle produced from 1961 to 1971. It was available in a variety of body styles including a two-door pick-up truck, a three door station wagon, and a two door utility vehicle. It was powered by a 2.25 litre four-cylinder engine that produced 72bhp and 114 lb-ft of torque. The 1963 Land Rover Series IIA had a number of updates over its predecessor, including improved seating and larger windows. It also had a new gearbox, a revised dashboard, and a more powerful engine. It was known for its excellent off-road capabilities, thanks to its sturdy construction, high ground clearance, and four-wheel drive system. It was commonly used by farmers, military organisations, and adventurers alike. This superb example of this iconic British four-wheel drive model has been the subject of a major rebuild and is presented in dark green with a tan interior. It was declared manufactured in 1963 and served in the Ministry of Defence until 1971 when it was then UK registered. It has recently been rebuilt on a galvanised chassis with new panel, Exmoor trim tan seats, new canvas roof covering and frame. Its original steering wheel has also been refurbished and covered in the same tan material to match the seats and stitching. This is probably one of the finest examples of this Land Rover model we have seen with the underside looking as good as the rest of the vehicle. Today, the 1963 Land Rover Series IIA is a sought-after classic car and is highly prized by collectors and enthusiasts for its rugged charm and timeless design.

Lot 140

2000 Rover Mini Cooper Sport Transmission: manualMileage:19961The Mini represents the most enduring of designs and occupies an unbroken thread from the early sixties right through to the present day. Produced in a number of different variants, including a strong showing in motorsport, the Mini Cooper Sport had a front-mounted radiator, driver's airbag, taller final drive ratio and was only produced from March to October 2000. It could be distinguished from earlier 'Sport Pack' equipped Coopers by its Platinum (rather than OEW) roof and bonnet stripes. The model's widened wheel arches housed 13 x 6 alloy wheels while inside it featured an alloy dashboard as well as alloy window winders, door pulls and door handles.Presented in good order throughout with just four former keepers from new and some minor corrosion around the 1275cc engine bay, it benefits from new inner and outer sills fitted in 2017. It was also ‘Waxoyled’ at the same time and reportedly starts and drives very well with a strong gearboxIt was also ‘Waxoyled’ at the same time and reportedly starts and drives very well with a strong gearbox. It is fitted with Yokohama tyres and both brightwork and lighting (lights and spotlights) are very good. Supplied with service records and MoT test certificates dating back to 2005, it also comes with both sets of original keys and handbooks and has been used sparingly since the present vendor purchased the car in 2019. It has been stored in a garage since the purchase and it comes with a MoT test certificate which expires in April 2024.

Lot 157

2012 Land Rover Defender Double Cab Pick-up Transmission: manualMileage:20000The original Land Rover Series began production in Solihull in 1948 and until its decades-long production run ended in 2016, more than two million Defenders were produced, becoming a British automotive icon. Since production ceased, the revered model has been in increased demand from both collectors and those willing to use this tough, utilitarian vehicle in the way it was designed for. It was only in 1989, following the introduction of the all-new Land Rover Discovery, that the Defender received its own name. This was not only a marketing exercise; the new Defender received a raft of upgrades, along with a new turbo diesel engine that brought useful increases in power, torque, and fuel economy when compared with the old, normally aspirated diesel it was based on. Often boasting large 'Defender' logos, the Land Rover went through a continuous process of development, gaining disc brakes and power-assisted steering as standard during the 1990s, together with a host of other improvements. This beautiful unmodified Land Rover was originally supplied 28th September 2012. The specification of this double cab includes side steps and a rear pick-up cover, alarm system, rubber mud flaps, under ride protection bar, upgraded steel wheels and new tyres and tow ball with drop plates and electrics. Presented in Keswick Green, this example boasts the three-seat rear bench making this a genuine five-seater with the pick-up rear. Very well maintained with a current MoT test certificate with no advisories, indeed a check online shows us that this car has never had a single advisory which is testament to care of ownership from its two previous keepers and our vendor. A six-speed manual gearbox powers the 2.2 TDCi engine and we are advised this low mileage example drives as good as it looks, it has clearly been a well-cared for example. Supplied with a V5C registration document and recently installed side steps. These robust, go anywhere vehicles have become increasingly desirable in recent years and this great utilitarian vehicle is sure to be one that catches the eye.

Lot 158

Offered with two keys and a separate boot key, this Jaguar also comes with a Parrot phone kit, tools, and an unused spare tyre. Lot 181

1988 Range Rover Vogue SE by Kingsley Cars (4.8 litre) Transmission: manualMileage:63000Kingsley Cars Ltd are best known for the re-engineered programme. They have been re-engineering classic Range Rovers since 2011, utilising more modern mechanics, in car entertainment, interior trimming, braking and suspension. The final product is nothing short of a masterpiece, affectively what has become known as a 'restomod', these Range Rovers are in huge demand today and cost in the region of £170,000 to build. The car you see today is where it all began, as the first Kingsley Cars Ltd demonstrator back in 2011. The car is fitted with a high torque 4.8 litre Kingsley fettled Rover V8, producing 275bhp. The engine was replaced by Kingsley in 2022, only covering around 3,000 miles since. Power is fed through a five-speed manual transmission, with short shift kit, making this Range Rover a delight to drive and really freeing up the engine compared with the more common automatic transmissions found in Range Rover's of this era. The suspension is adjustable and provides far better body control to the original offering. The car is presented in a stunning dark metallic silver, with red St James quilted leather interior. The leather doesn't stop there either, the parcel tray, grab handles and door cards are also shod in leather. The headlining and roof pillars are all trimmed with grey Alcantara, and the wool carpets are also bound in leather. Overall, the interior of this Range Rover is on a whole different level to the original car, making it feel far more modern accentuating the quality of the work carried out by Kingsley in 2011.Adding to the modern upgrades, the car has an upgraded sound system with Bluetooth connectivity, meaning it really offers everything you may need if you intend to use a classic as a daily driver. The lighting system has also been improved over the ageing original items. The headlights are now LED units with 650 Lumens low beam and 760 Lumens high beam, driving lamps have also been converted to Xenon. If you want to join the latest 'restomod' craze, this Range Rover by Kingsley could fit the bill perfectly. You are very unlikely to ever see another on the road and for those that know, this is just about as good as classic Range Rover ownership gets. Our vendor tells us the car can perform just like a sports car when needed, the engine and handling upgrades have created a car which is worlds apart from the original and yet the Range Rover can quite easily slip under the radar and be used as a relaxing daily driver at the same time. Offered with a very sensible estimate, this may be the only chance you have to buy a Kingsley fettled Range Rover for quite some time.

Lot 212

1977 Morgan Plus 8 Transmission: manualMileage:66236The Morgan Plus 8 began production in 1968 and continued all the way through until 2004. The iconic Plus 8 returned in 2012 for a further six years, ending production again in 2018. Its iconic design remained largely unchanged throughout its life, lightweight construction, and powerful V8 engine. The Plus 8 is built on a steel chassis with a handcrafted aluminium body and Morgan's famous ash wooden frame. The Plus 8 is powered by the tried and tested 3.5 litre Rover V8 engine, which provides exhilarating acceleration, aided further by the immensely low weight of around 830kg. It also features a five-speed manual transmission. This particular example presents beautifully in dark green with a beige leather interior. The interior looks amazing, having been retrimmed in 2021 at the cost of £4,100 by an ex-Morgan employee, who completed the work exactly how it would have been done by Morgan themselves. The bodywork looks equally as impressive, it isn't freshly painted to concours standard, but it certainly doesn't require any attention. The car is supplied with full weather gear, including side screens, tonneau cover and hood. The engine is where the magic happens on this example, having been fitted with Viper fast road camshafts, Rhoades lifters, gas flowed heads, Hedman manifolds and four-barrel Holley carburettor. Our vendor reports this car is very fast and would make an excellent hill climb or sprint car, whilst remaining very useable on the road. The car was dyno tested at 284bhp, offering a strong improvement over the original engine. The car comes with a good amount of paperwork with a detailed handwritten record of works carried out between 2003 and 2011 and a strong amount of invoices detailing various works carried out over the years. Our vendor confesses he is a 'tinkerer' who enjoys having a project on the go, so is selling his beloved Morgan mainly to free up some space in his workshop. Having owed various classic cars over the years, he admits he enjoys restoring them but possibly doesn't give them the use they deserve. This is a fantastic example of the mighty V8 powered Morgan, which presents great value for money when compared with its rivals of the day.

Lot 221

1997 Rover Mini Cooper Transmission: manualMileage:54348The Mini was manufactured by the British Motor Corporation (BMC) and its successors from 1959 until 2000. The original is considered a British icon of the 1960's and its space-saving front-wheel drive layout allowing 80% of the car's floorpan to be used for passengers and luggage, influenced a generation of car makers. In 1999, the Mini was voted the second most influential car of the 20th century behind the Ford Model T. Initially Minis were marketed under the Austin and Morris names until Mini became a marque in its own right in 1969. The Mini was again marketed under the Austin name in the 1980's and was offered in a number of limited editions that usually included a special combination of trim and badging.Originally registered on 14th March 1997 this Mini Cooper has been owned by the lady vendor for the past 16 years. It has been used sparingly throughout her ownership, having covered just 4,000 miles within that period. It has always been kept in a dry garage and was largely unused within the last eight years. However, when it was decided the car would be sold, it was immediately put in for a service and an MoT test, which it passed with no advisories. Finished in red with black interior this Mini Cooper is fitted with a 1275cc engine and offers relatively brisk performance. Classic Mini's always create interest and this example with its Minilite wheels and four spot-lamps is sure to follow suit. Supplied with a V5C registration document this Mini Cooper has only covered 54,348 miles in 26 years, a fraction over 2,000 miles per year. Offered for sale without reserve this Mini is definitely one to keep an eye on.

Lot 236

1992 Range Rover Vogue SE (3.9 Litre) Transmission: automaticMileage:62237The first-generation Range Rover was produced between 1970 and 1996. The original car was not designed as a luxury-type 4x4; while certainly up-market compared to preceding Land Rover models, the early Range Rovers had fairly basic, utilitarian interiors with vinyl seats and plastic dashboards designed to be washed down with a hose. Features such as power assisted steering, carpeted floors, air conditioning, cloth/leather seats and wooden interior trim were fitted later. The Range Rover was a body-on-frame design with a box section ladder type chassis similar to contemporary Land Rovers. The Range Rover utilised coil springs as opposed to leaf springs, permanent four-wheel drive and four-wheel disc brakes and was originally powered by the Rover V8 engine.Supplied originally by Mann Egerton & Co. Ltd in Hatfield on 2nd February 1992, this Range Rover presents in delightful condition. The Aspen Silver coachwork is virtually unmarked, and the grey leather has a patina commensurate with the age and mileage. The 3.9 litre V8 engine starts on the button and runs well, and we are advised she drives as good as she looks. Service history is important on these classic Range Rovers and this one has been very well cared for, with two service books. Supplied with a V5 registration document and the original handbooks, this Vogue SE comes with the cherished number plate of 1135 UN. Driving a Range Rover is effortless, particularly in automatic guise as this one is, the air conditioning and electric seats all aid towards driver comfort. These fabulous cars always attract admiring glances wherever they appear. This super example will attract more than most.

Lot 248

1993 Land Rover Defender 90 TDi Transmission: manualMileage:148152The Land Rover Defender 90 is a rugged and capable SUV that was designed for off-road adventures. It was introduced by Land Rover in 1983. The Defender 90 has a boxy and utilitarian design, with a tough chassis and a powerful engine. It was equipped with a four-wheel drive system, making it capable of traversing difficult terrain. The Defender 90 was a popular choice among off-road enthusiasts and was also used by military and law enforcement agencies around the world. Today the Land Rover Defender 90 is a highly sought-after collector's item for those who appreciate its iconic design and legendary off-road capability. This Defender 90 was originally registered on 22nd September 1993. It presents well in black with a black interior. This look is complemented with black alloys, black chequered plating and mudflaps. This Land Rover has benefitted from the fitting of a replacement galvanised chassis. This five seat example has the desirable forward facing rear seats which fold away when not in use. Offered with a V5C registration document and without reserve, this four wheel drive is both capable and good looking.Interested parties should note that this car will require attention to pass an MoT test certificate. Full details are in the history file.

Lot 258

2005 MG ZT Estate Transmission: manualMileage:63444In 2001, three years after the launch of the Rover 75, and less than a year after the demerger of MG Rover from BMW, the MG ZT and MG ZT-T were launched. During the cars' development, the models were codenamed X10 and X11, for the saloon and estate versions, respectively. The basic shape and styling of the MG ZT remained the same as for the Rover 75 but with changes to the front bumper, now with an integrated grille, and detail alterations including colour coding of the chromed waistline, a new boot lid plinth, and different alloy wheels and tyres sizes. During the first few months of 2004, MG Rover facelifted the design of the ZT and ZT-T to a less retro look, at the same time as the Rover 75 received a facelift. This didn't feature much in the way of mechanical differences to the ZT, most changes were merely aesthetic. The main changes to the car included the replacement of the twin headlamps, with a new, clear single headlamp unit. Between 2003 and 2006 the top of the ZT range, and the rarest, was rear wheel drive and powered by the Ford 4601cc V8 engine giving 300bhp, 0-60mph in 6.3 seconds and a top speed of 155mph.This rare MG ZT is best described as a 'wolf in sheep's clothing'. A relatively unassuming vehicle from the outside, with the only visible feature being the large bore exhausts. However, start the engine and suddenly you become aware of the Ford Mustang 4.6 litre V8 under the bonnet. This is mated to a five-speed manual gearbox making this a true drivers car and one to really enjoy on the open road. Performance is put at 260bhp and 407NM of torque. The interior is trimmed in black leatherette and cloth seats with electric windows, electric mirrors and digital climate control with air conditioning. Showing just 63,444 miles on the odometer, the previous owner fitted a bespoke (and very expensive)  stainless steel  exhaust system with sports cats and central silencer box, coupled to an OE back-box, helping  unleash a little more sound of the American dream. Supplied with a V5C registration document and a current MoT test certificate valid until October 2023, together with the original book pack and a collection of invoices. This stylish MG estate is both a capable load carrier and a truly exciting car to drive. These were built in relatively small numbers, it is thought less than 200 were manufactured, thus this could well prove to be a fine investment.Guide £8,000- £11,000

Never has there been a car that has so captured the imagination of the world. Land Rovers have saved lives, won wars, delivered aid and hope, conveyed Kings and Queens and numerous Popes, ferried injured animals from the lowliest sheep to the proudest lion to safety. The Land Rover has conquered ravines, deserts and snow, broken records and, along the way, won the hearts of millions.By the late 1990s, Land Rover had begun to realise that most Range Rovers rarely saw turf, and fuel efficiency was at the forefront of the suburban driver’s mind, so development of a more refined diesel engine for the Range Rover and Discovery began in earnest. Ironically, during this time, the V8 Defender had begun to appeal to the 'lifestyle' end of the market and a number of limited-edition cars were developed and marketed by the company. Over the past decade, this has led to a new sub-market for upgraded used Land Rovers with leather interiors and more powerful engines. Proving popular for occasional use in a similar way to a classic car, a well-finished, canvas-topped 90 packing a V8 engine is regarded as the most in demand.Very few of these 'restomod' cars can boast single ownership from new, however. This example was purchased new by our vendor, an architect, on 12th March 2010 and used as a daily driver for commuting to his practice and, when required, for muddy site visits. In 2021, at which point it had covered some 104,000 miles, our vendor decided to give the car a new lease of life. A new canvas tilt was fitted over the newly trimmed green leather seats which complemented the Keswick Green paintwork, however, the most serious part of the project was the engine and drivetrain.A new gearbox, clutch, transfer box and exhaust system was mated to a very special 4.8-litre V8 built by the industry leaders in Land Rover V8 upgrades, JE Motorworks of Coventry. Famed for their decades of work in preparing racing Land Rovers engines for the Paris to Dakar rally, they have commercialised their 50-years of experience by providing private individuals with precision engineered engines for retro fitting into their Land Rovers. Our vendor chose the 4.8-litre V8 and auxiliaries as a bespoke installation and the result is very impressive. We note that the current price for such an engine, according to the JE Motorworks website, is £39,995.This seriously 'cool' Defender has been enjoyed by our vendor and his family for some 5,000 miles since the conversion and it's presented to auction in smart order and ready for the next custodian. The history file incudes service history records, receipts, the V5C and an advisory-free MOT valid until 18th April 2024.A rare opportunity to purchase a very smart Defender, professionally upgraded by acknowledged marque experts and all commissioned by the Land Rover's sole owner from new.SpecificationMake: LAND ROVERModel: DEFENDER 90Year: 2010Chassis Number: SALLDVAS7AA791891Registration Number: HJ10 NPDTransmission: ManualEngine Number: JE-2456 Drive Side: Right-hand DriveOdometer Reading: 108000 MilesMake: RHDInterior Colour: Green LeatherClick here for more details and images

Lot 903

Building on the iconic status of the Defender, this highly-spec'd 'KAHN' Defender is an eye-catching 4x4 which has been enjoyed by the same family from new and regularly serviced. The icon. As much a part of British car culture as the Mini, the Jaguar E-Type or the Ford Escort - perhaps even more so. Though officially only known as a ‘Defender’ from 1990, as a rebadge of the previous 90 and 110 models, it was instantly familiar given the evolutionary relationship with the Series Land Rovers that preceded them. To the layman, the different versions have almost become interchangeable, not least because each represents the utilitarian, unpretentious, rugged off-roader that made Land Rover famous.Throughout the 1990s, the model commenced its inevitable climb upmarket whilst remaining true (as close as possible) to its roots. Engine changes became a regular occurrence with the 200Tdi being followed by the 300Tdi, Td5 and then the Ford Duratorq that appeared in 2.4-litre form in 2007 and subsequently in 2.2-litre guise during 2012.The car presented here is a 2016 Land Rover Defender 110 XS Station Wagon which has been tastefully modified with desirable Project KAHN/Chelsea Truck Company cosmetic upgrades. As the company says: ‘Automobiles Refined By KAHN® - Unique handcrafted vehicles for a small circle of people who have the taste for exclusivity and the finer things in life - finest quality to the last detail.’It was first registered in February 2016, has remained with a single family from new, and is now being offered for sale by its third registered family keeper. The 110 is the more user-friendly, long-wheelbase version of the venerable Defender, and this striking version is finished in black paintwork with a bespoke black leather-trimmed interior with contrasting stitching, featuring front sport bucket seats, diamond-quilted inserts on the seats, door cards, and dashboard, and gloss black trim on the centre console. It sits on an after-market set of 16'' KAHN twin five-spoke lightweight alloy wheels finished in matte black, and wears Continental Cross Contact tyres. The factory specification includes a heated rear windscreen, heated front seats, a high and low range gearbox, electric windows, rear privacy glass, a rear step, an adjustable tow bar, rear Land Rover mud flaps, and air conditioning. Externally, this Defender now features an extended KAHN body-kit, LED headlights, a KAHN front grille and headlight grilles, a replacement front bumper with sump guard and built-in spotlights, and a Chelsea Truck Co. rear spare wheel cover. Inside, the cabin has been upgraded with a KAHN steering wheel and pedals, Chelsea Truck Co. and KAHN plaques, a Pioneer media system with satellite navigation and DAB radio, and a red fascia with an analogue KAHN clock. The most recent maintenance was a full service in February 2020 at 27,153 miles by Inchcape Land Rover, Preston. The previous scheduled service was in February 2018 at 19,326 miles by Inchcape and prior to that the first scheduled service was carried out by Hunters Land Rover Preston in February 2017 at 11,895 miles. The car is accompanied by three keys and two fobs, the owner’s handbooks with a leather wallet, and a collection of maintenance invoices and MOT Certificates.Offering excellent value over a newly-specified KAHN Defender, which can be as much as £70,000-plus, this eye-catching 4x4 has been well looked-after, regularly serviced and enjoyed by the same family from new. SpecificationMake: LAND ROVERModel: DEFENDER 110 XS STATION WAGAON 'KAHN'Year: 2016Chassis Number: SALLDHMP7GA484523Registration Number: YA65 CVGTransmission: ManualEngine Number: 151004231012DT224 Drive Side: Right-hand DriveOdometer Reading: 30000 MilesMake: RHDInterior Colour: BlackClick here for more details and images
