A 1985 Land Rover Defender 90, registration number B872 BYB, grey. This Defender christened The Beast has been set up for green laning. The underbody is plated and the running gear is all TD300. A 1956 Land Rover Series I 86 inch SWB canvas tilt, registration number ADC 401A, chassis number 170-6-03350, Bronze green. From information detailed on the supplied Heritage Certificate, we can see that 170-6-03350 was built on 9th February 1956 and despatched to the supplying dealer Caffyns Limited, Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent on 29th March 1956, in basic 86 inch 2L petrol engine format. This 86 inch Series I has formed part of a private collection of Land Rovers. Since arriving into the collection 176-6-03350 has been the subject of a comprehensive body off restoration to a period correct high standard. There is an accompanying book with numerous images detailing every aspect of the restoration. Now only for sale so our vendor can concentrate on other Land Rover projects, this beautifully restored example will be offered for auction with a history file. A 1993 Rover Mini Mayfair, registration number K437 XRU, blue. This Mini Mayfair is in time warp condition having had one lady owner prior to our vendor. With only 17,700 miles on the odometer this automatic and genuine low mileage Mini is presented in very good condition. The car was maintained by the current owners garage and was gifted to him in 2011 when the first owner gave up driving. As one would expect the Mini has been maintained as necessary to keep the car in running condition. The Mini will be offered for sale with a history file containing previous MOTs, receipts, original dealer warranty, a stamped service book and handbooks. This low mileage and genuine Mini would be a great addition to any collection and is only reluctantly for sale due to the vendor finding increasingly difficult to drive (due to having knee trouble). The Series II would remain in production until 1961 when the IIA became available. This Series II is fitted with the ever faithful 2.25 litre diesel engine. The Land Rover was professionally restored prior to our vendor purchasing it. Since then he has used it on his land. An important Royal Automobile "Club tourist trophy" won by Ernest Courtis in a Rover 16/20 horsepower motor car in 1907The top section of the trophy a silver gilt figure of Mercury (silver weight approximately 23oz, hallmarked for Daniel & John Welby of Garrick Street, London 1907), the lower section depicting figures of flora and a blacksmith with car motif, with inscription A C GB, the central cartouche with inscription "Tourist Trophy". The historical Royal Automobile Club tourist trophy was first held on the Isle of Man on the 14th September 1905. The tourist trophy is the oldest motoring contest in the world. This trophy was won by Ernest Courtis driving the Rover 16/20 horsepower touring car on 31st May 1907. Height 48cm. Provenance - this trophy belonged to Harry Smith who was the Managing Director of the Rover Car Company up until 1915, thence by descent.
