Charles Duke John Young, the Rover and the LM Orion in brilliant Sun glare at Descartes base, Apollo 16, 16-27 April 1972, EVA 3 Vintage chromogenic print on resin coated Kodak paper [NASA photo No AS16-116-18578], 20.3 x 25.4 cm (8 x 10 in), with NASA caption A KODAK PAPER watermarks on verso (NASA Kennedy Space Center).Footnotes: Young is working at the Rover. The MESA (Modular Equipment Stowage Assembly) to the left of the LM is clearly visible despite the up-Sun glare. Rover tracks and footprints are in the foreground. The photograph shows a smudge pattern to the left of the LM because of lunar dust contacting the right center reseau plate of the camera. "This and similar views of the LM, Rover and our flag was always special. Other than the gray and white of the Moon, this was the only color. What a contrast to the stark Moon." Charles Duke
