1994 Land Rover Defender 90 County Transmission: manualMileage:99196The Land Rover Series I was launched in 1948 and, incredibly, production only finished in January 2016 after a continuous run of 67 years through various evolutions before becoming the Defender, though the design stayed largely un-changed. Outwardly, there is little to distinguish the post-1983 vehicles from the Series III Land Rover. A full-length bonnet, revised grille, plus the fitting of wheel arch extensions to cover wider-track axles are the most noticeable changes. Internally, coil springs offered a more comfortable ride and a permanent four-wheel drive system derived from the Range Rover featuring a two-speed transfer gearbox with a lockable centre differential. A modernised interior and a new series of progressively more powerful and modern engine characterised things under the skin. This Defender has lived a relatively sedate life, it was with its original keeper, a Mrs Doyle until 2012, before being bought by our vendors neighbour, Mr Litton, in 2012. Our vendors neighbour decided to treat himself to a brand new Defender when he retired, but decided he wanted a second vehicle to keep the mileage down on his shiny new purchase. Mr Litton fitted the option of a hand controlled brake pedal to the vehicle and when our vendor purchased the vehicle from him earlier this year, he decided to leave it fitted as it wasn't in the way and it may help someone else at a later date. The vendor reports that the speedometer stopped working and had to be replaced some years ago, so the true mileage is understood to be in the region of 120,000. This rugged go-anywhere Defender is being offered without reserve, so why not have a go at buying one of the most accomplished off-roaders?

1981 Land Rover Series III 109 Transmission: manualMileage:301Land Rovers were inspired by the US-built Willys Jeep immediately after the war. By 1992, Land Rover claimed that 70% of all the vehicles they had ever built were still in use. Before the war, Rover had produced luxury cars which then ceased to be in demand in the post-war period. Raw materials were also strictly rationed to companies building construction or industrial equipment. Rover's original factory in Coventry had also been bombed, forcing the company to move into a huge factory it had built in Solihull to construct aircraft. The Series III is the most common vehicle with 440,000 built. The headlights were moved to the wings and the traditional metal grille featured on its predecessor, was replaced with a plastic one. The production run for the Series III was from 1971 through to 1985, and during this cycle in 1976, the 1,000,000th Land Rover rolled off the production line. The Series III saw many changes in the later part of its life as Land Rover updated the design to meet increased competition. This Land Rover was originally registered on 25th February 1981 and has been totally and beautifully restored by the knowledgeable and fastidious vendor. The body was removed from the chassis and a new galvanised chassis fitted. The bodywork itself was repaired where necessary and repainted in the traditional colour combination of Sherwood Green with black. The engine was stripped down and rebuilt as was the gearbox. Wolf wheels have been fitted and the interior trim taken care of accordingly. This 109 inch Land Rover has four inward facing seats to the rear and a suitable 'rag-top' for inclement weather. Series III Land Rovers are exceptionally robust and offer the ultimate 4x4 off road experience. Supplied with a V5C registration document together with a current MoT test certificate valid until 11th June 2024 and a collection of invoices in the history folder. This model was only in production for three years and to find one in such fabulous condition is a rare treat indeed.

2011 Range Rover Vogue SE Believed To Be Ex-Royal Fleet Transmission: automaticMileage:123654There can be few cars that are as well-known and iconic as the mighty Range Rover. Launched in 1970 and built in the UK, this leader in the 4x4 field is now on its fifth incarnation. Enjoyed by Royalty and celebrities alike, the Range Rover is both aspirational and practical. The car has been described as 'the best 4x4 by far' and has been the winner of numerous awards. This example began its life in 2011 as a part of the Royal fleet, being supplied and serviced early on by the Vehicle Operations department at Gaydon and having some warranty work carried out by Land Rover Aberdeen "“ close to Balmoral. This example is fitted with the rear extra grab handles, something the late HM Queen Elizabeth II would always specify, to aid her getting in and out of Range Rovers. It was also without a parcel shelf when our vendor purchased the car, a dog guard was fitted instead, again something which would always be specified. Glass sunroof, retractable side steps and mudflaps are also fitted. To add to the rear comfort even further, this example was specified with heated and air-conditioned electric rear seating. Ordered of course in Galway Green with Sand leather interior, this 4.4 litre V8 example boasts air suspension, and the car is currently with its fifth owner with none of the previous aware of what could have been such illustrious beginnings.Upon requesting details from the DVLA, the vendor has been refused any previous keeper's details, the same situation arose when details of the specific modifications were requested from Land Rover, they did not wish to speak about the car. The gallery shows an image of the late HM Queen Elizabeth II on a visit to a university, though it is hard to make out which one it is from the slightly grainy photo. The photo shows the Range Rover behind the late HM Queen Elizabeth II with the rear door about to be shut and the Queen appears to be walking away from the vehicle, giving a very strong chance of it being the one she travelled in for the visit. The earlier mentioned grab handles on the inner rear B pillars are believed to be unique to the late HM Queen Elizabeth II's Range Rovers, due to her insistence of no assistance from staff when entering and exiting the car thus the handles along with the side steps enabled comfortable entry for a lady who would have been in her mid 80's at the time. The car now is in very good order. Having covered less than 124,000 miles from new, the service history is comprehensive, listed below.12/03/2013 @ 3738 miles - Vehicle Operations Gaydon28/02/2014 @ 19,339 miles - Pentland Land Rover Perth 24/11/2014 @ 36,370 miles - Pentland Land Rover Perth 23/11/2015 @ 53,004 miles - Pentland Land Rover Perth 15/06/2016 @ 69,324 miles - Gordon Lamb Land Rover Chesterfield 11/09/2017 @ 78,979 miles - Grange Land Rover Swindon 16/09/2019 @ 110,280 miles - Morgan Cars NI 13/01/2022 @ 119,125 miles - Marshall and Son Ltd26/04/2023 @ 123,151 miles "“ Marrion 4x4Guide Price: £25,000 - £35,000

1977 Morgan Plus 8 Transmission: manualMileage:66236The Morgan Plus 8 began production in 1968 and continued all the way through until 2004. The iconic Plus 8 returned in 2012 for a further six years, ending production again in 2018. Its iconic design remained largely unchanged throughout its life, lightweight construction, and powerful V8 engine. The Plus 8 is built on a steel chassis with a handcrafted aluminium body and Morgan's famous ash wooden frame. The Plus 8 is powered by the tried and tested 3.5 litre Rover V8 engine, which provides exhilarating acceleration, aided further by the immensely low weight of around 830kg. It also features a five-speed manual transmission. This particular example presents beautifully in dark green with a beige leather interior. The interior looks amazing, having been retrimmed in 2021 at the cost of £4,100 by an ex-Morgan employee, who completed the work exactly how it would have been done by Morgan themselves. The bodywork looks equally as impressive, it isn't freshly painted to concours standard, but it certainly doesn't require any attention. The car is supplied with full weather gear, including side screens, tonneau cover and hood. The engine is where the magic happens on this example, having been fitted with Viper fast road camshafts, Rhoades lifters, gas flowed heads, Hedman manifolds and four-barrel Holley carburettor. Our vendor reports this car is very fast and would make an excellent hill climb or sprint car, whilst remaining very useable on the road. The car was dyno tested at 284bhp, offering a strong improvement over the original engine. The car comes with a good amount of paperwork with a detailed handwritten record of works carried out between 2003 and 2011 and a strong amount of invoices detailing various works carried out over the years. Our vendor is selling his beloved Morgan mainly to free up some space in his workshop. This is a fantastic example of the mighty V8 powered Morgan, which represents great value for money when compared with its rivals of the day.

The car presents well in Signal Red with contrasting steel wheels in white and features a bonnet mounted spare wheel and a multi height towbar. The passenger seats to the rear have been retrimmed and benefit from lap belts. The floor area has been decked in wood. This 110 Pick-up is described by the vendor as being the perfect combination of reliability, practicality and fun. Lot 104

1998 Rover Mini Cooper Transmission: manualMileage:65588The Mini was manufactured by the British Motor Corporation (BMC) and its successors from 1959 until 2000. The original is considered a British icon of the 1960's and its space-saving front-wheel drive layout allowing 80% of the car's floorpan to be used for passengers and luggage, influenced a generation of car makers. In 1999, the Mini was voted the second most influential car of the 20th century behind the Ford Model T. Initially, Mini's were marketed under the Austin and Morris names until Mini became a marque in its own right in 1969. The Mini was again marketed under the Austin name in the 1980's and was offered in a number of limited editions, which usually included a special combination of trim and badging. This late production 1998 Cooper is presented in exceptional condition following a full body strip down and respray, interior retrim with new leather, leather dash top and door cards, new headlining and carpets, as well as a new walnut dash and door capping's. Other work on the exterior included stainless steel bumpers, new near-side front wing and door skins and new rubbers for the lights, windows and doors. The work continued beneath the surface too, both subframes were replaced and powder coated, a new S pack steering rack was fitted and the suspension and braking systems were overhauled. In total there are invoices for around £4,500 for the mechanical parts alone. The car comes with its original handbooks and various invoices and old MoT test certificates. This example is being offered without reserve and with all the work that has been done it can be enjoyed right away.

1985 Land Rover 90 Transmission: manualMileage:92669The 1985 Land Rover 90 is an iconic off-road vehicle that embodies ruggedness and adventure. This compact 4x4 boasts a timeless design characterized by its boxy silhouette, signature grille, and durable construction. Powered by a range of engines, including diesel and petrol options, it offered reliable performance in various terrains. This impressive Land Rover has just benefitted from a full restoration to the very popular heritage style. The starting point for this work was a solid 1985 registered 90 model that underwent an overhaul of the bulkhead and galvanising of the chassis which was then raptor coated for extra protection and rugged appearance. New brake lines, fuel tank, tow bar and drop hitch were fitted as well as new steering bars, sump guard, suspension springs and shock absorbers and galvanised shock towers. Waxoil was then applied for even greater protection. The body has been fully disassembled, repaired and painted in Atlantic Green, and then painstakingly re-assembled nut bolt and rivet, all catches, hinges, and any other fittings overhauled. All new window rubbers, door rubbers, gaskets and seals were added. The interior was kept as basic as possible but trying to encorporate comfort to, with that in mind a new set of Exmoor trim seat covers were fitted. The specification includes heated front seats, rear fold benches, floor mats, CD player and hidden speaker. It could possibly benefit from a new pair of door cards as they have a few small marks on them from seatbelts. The engine, gearbox and axles have been fully serviced. The exterior of the vehicle is very detailed and features front heritage grille and heritage badge, LED headlights , full LED light kit all round with rear floodlights that we are informed are incredible. The list continues with a set of five wolf steel wheels fitted with a new set of Goodyear wrangler tyres as per factory specification, puma bonnet, chequer wing tops, wing vents, series bezels and a galvanised bumper. A black roof with a sunroof was chosen to make it a little different from the rest. Old style doors with the stronger door handles complete the retro look. With a restoration cost in excess of £25,000 this land Rover deserves serious investigation by any interested party.
