- Reputedly ex-armed forces and registered for civilian use in 1964 - Previous long-term ownership and offered with Cream hardtop - Offered with an MOT certificate into April 2016 It is ironic that today's Defender is immediately recognisable as a direct descendent of the Land Rover launched in 1948, as production was only intended to run for two to three years. Instead, it has been the workhorse of the world for 68. This late Series I Landy is believed to have been part of the armed forces fleet until registered for civilian use in 1964. Its last keeper retained it as a 'sunny summer day toy' for almost 30 years, during which time it covered just 3,000 miles or so, was always garaged, had its chassis and underside oil sprayed on an annual basis, and its engine oil and filter changed equally frequently. There has been a change of odometer in the last four years, but the total accumulated mileage is thought to still be as low 83,535. Of this very tidy-looking example the vendor says: 'it always starts first time'; has 'good' bodywork; and 'average' Green paintwork, Green seating, 2-litre engine and overdrive transmission. It has recently benefited from four new tyres and is now offered complete with both a tilt and Cream hard top, Warn MX 8000 winch equipped with pug-in wander lead, and an MOT to April 27, 2016.
- South African supplied from new and previously restored - 59,900 recorded miles and current V5C document - Offered with an MOT certificate into September 2016 The Land Cruiser is Toyota's longest-running model and dates back to 1951. In much the same way that today's luxurious Range Rovers bear little resemblance to the original no-nonsense, go-anywhere Land Rover, the latest Land Cruisers, though competent off-road vehicles, are a breed apart from their more Jeep-like ancestors. The J40 series vehicles were manufactured from 1960 to 1984, of which the FJ45 was a rugged versatile variant offered in three guises - four-door Wagon and short or long wheelbase Pickup. They are certainly rare on these shores, which should make this extremely smart right-hand drive Pickup of particular interest. It is a manual truck from the last year of manufacture, powered by a straight-six 4.2-litre petrol engine. 'A951 TAG' started life in South Africa, where it was restored in 2011 before coming to the UK. It is finished in sparkling Alpine White and trimmed in Black leatherette, and the specification includes a roll cage and massive front bull bar. The vehicle is fully UK registered with an MOT into September 2016 and is regarded by the vendor as having 'excellent' engine and four-speed manual transmission, 'very good' bodywork, electrical system and interior trim, and 'good' paintwork. The mileage currently stands at an unwarranted 59,803.
- 1 of just 2,591 factory V8's - Offered with history file containing numerous old invoices and MOTs - Benefitting from a recent service and MOT'd into October 2016 A more powerful alternative to the standard MG B came in 1973 with the introduction of the V8 - a GT-only variant powered by the ubiquitous 3528cc Rover V8 unit. Inspired by the conversions carried out by independent tuner Ken Costello, the factory cars produced 137bhp - sufficient output for a sprightly 0-60mph time of around eight seconds and top speed of 125 mph. Production of the V8 was curtailed in 1976 after some 2,591 had been built. 'SRW 237M' is a tidy-looking home market example that hails from the first year of production. It sports Red bodywork complemented by Black interior trim and was the subject of a restoration c.2004. The vendor acquired the V8 in 2012 and has since treated it to a regular programme of maintenance eg: a new fuel tank was installed in 2012; new batteries fitted in 2014; and £375.50 was invested this October on a service and mechanical repairs. The odometer currently stands at an unwarranted 141,055 and this well-equipped B is being offered complete with: overdrive gearbox; full length Webasto sunroof; woodrim steering wheel; large collection of invoices from marque specialists; and numerous old MOTs, plus one valid to October 22nd 2016.
- Splendidly-original early Land Rover and just three owners from new - Offered with a comprehensive history file including the original buff log book - Ex-military Series 1 2-litre petrol engine and extensively toured though Europe This splendidly-original early Land Rover has had just three owners from new. The supplying dealer was Windmill & Lewis of Bristol and the first keeper BBC Natural History Unit employee Mr Desmond Hawkins. In 1957 'PHT 188' was acquired by a Mr Unwin who used it as a site vehicle/tug on the caravan parks he owned in Somerset. An engine problem caused it to be rested in 1976, and it then stood in an open-sided shed until 2007, when it was rescued by a Land Rover enthusiast who passed it on to the vendor. He recommissioned rather than restored the vehicle, meaning it remains remarkably original with a pleasing degree of patina. It was totally dismantled, the chassis repaired, and the bulkhead replaced with a galvanised original item. The wheel and master cylinders were re-bored and sleeved in stainless steel. The brake lines were replaced to original specification and a new Autosparks wiring loom, Exmoor Trim seat bases and Undercover Covers hood installed. The current engine is an ex-military Series 1 2-litre petrol unit. Since completion this wonderful old Landy has been toured extensively throughout Europe and featured in many Land Rover publications. It comes complete with comprehensive history file, including the original buff log book.
- Retaining its bulkhead mounted sidelights and steering wheel mounted dipping system - 1600cc petrol engine and tipping seats - Home market example A utility vehicle devised in 1947 by the Wilks brothers for use on their farm and inspired by the wartime Jeep, the Land Rover has become an iconic British success story. The use of aluminium panels, because of a shortage of steel, meant the bodies did not rust, and thanks to an ingenious high/low ratio four-wheel drive system, it was possessed of incredible climbing ability in all conditions including glutinous mud. This sought after home market 80 inch example dates from 1951 and retains its bulkhead mounted sidelights, tipping seats and steering wheel mounted dipping system. Powered by a "believed original" 1600cc petrol engine, it is understood to have spent some of its life with the W.D. as identified by a plate on the bulkhead in the engine bay showing its W.D number, 35BD66. A brass plate on side of engine block states the engine was overhauled in 1956 to scale 2. Bore size 08. 030. This brass plate clearly shows, Ministry of Supply W.V.S. Offered with Swansea V5 together with a few old mots in the history file this early Landie is described as being in "good" condition regarding its bodywork, paintwork, transmission and interior.
- Supplied new by Rover dealership Archers of Solihull and 54,150 recorded miles - Repainted in 2012 by Aldridge Automotive of Wolverhampton - Just two previous keepers and offered with original owners wallet and handbooks Displaying a mere 54,000 miles, 'HOX 607N' was supplied new via Archers of Solihull and still retains its original key fob and rear window-mounted dealer sticker to this day. Belonging to its first keeper for over thirty years but laid-up for the last ten of those, the flagship V8S spent just months with its second custodian before entering the current ownership in 2007. Recommissioned the following year, the P6 flew through an MOT test with no welding required. The unmolested interior is original right down to its Motorola radio, fawn upholstery and carpets. A handful or rust spots were cured prior to the otherwise very sound bodywork being repainted by Aldridge Automotive of Wolverhampton in 2012. Pleasingly, neither the vinyl roof covering nor exterior brightwork needed attention. Upgraded with electronic ignition, the factory-fitted 3528cc V8 is understood to start readily, show excellent oil pressure and sound great. Renewing the gearbox linkage bushes has apparently resulted in a sweeter change too. Considered by the vendor to be 'one of the most original P6 V8s available today', 'HOX 607N' is offered for sale with its original owner's wallet and booklets, original Denovo tyres information booklet, copy logbooks, photographic record of the 2012 repaint and fresh MOT certificate.
- Rare and desirable 'Suffix A' Range Rover - 1 of 2,844 Home Market RHD cars built during the 1971 production year - Land Rover Owner International magazine article on its 'chassis up' restoration There was always scope for the production of a sibling that combined the no-nonsense Land Rover's off-road prowess with a greater degree of on-road chic and comfort. Though various plans were mooted in the 1950s, it was the emergence of the American SUV a decade later that finally convinced Rover to create such a model. Spen King famously oversaw the '100 inch Station Wagon' project that was finally revealed as the Range Rover in 1970. Far from competing with the likes of the Ford Bronco that had inspired its creation, the David Bache-penned newcomer created a whole new genre of go-anywhere vehicles. The Range Rover was based around a box section chassis and steel 'safety frame' onto which the lightweight outer panels were bolted. Power came from the ubiquitous Rover V8 - initially in 3.5-litre guise. This was connected to a permanent four-wheel drive system for optimum traction - a transfer box offered a full set of high and low gear ratios. Suspension was by long travel coil springs all round and braking was by discs front and rear. This delightful Range Rover Two-Door with rare and desirable 'Suffix A' chassis plate was one of just 2,844 right-hand drive home market examples built in the 1971 model year. During the '90s it was treated to a very comprehensive chassis-up restoration by its then keeper John Edwins, the detail of which was fully explored in a three-page article in the September 1995 edition of Land Rover Owner International. The work included returning the vehicle from Tuscan Blue to its original colour of Lincoln Green and upgrading the seating from vinyl to more luxurious Brown cloth. 'XDE 972J' is now offered complete with correct tools, photos of the restoration and a copy of the LRO article, plus numerous invoices and MOT certificates including one valid until November 2016.

ARMSTRONG NEIL: (1930-2012) American Astronaut, Commander of Apollo XI (1969). The first man to walk on the moon. An unusual large signed colour 16 x 15.5 photograph (printed on a stiff plastic with a gloss laminate surface by the Swedish camera manufacturers Hasselblad) by Armstrong, the image depicting astronaut Jim Irwin standing in a full length pose on the moon alongside a lunar rover during the Apollo XV mission, July-August 1971. Signed by Armstrong in bold black ink (?) with his name alone to a clear area of the image. The signature is very slightly scratchy in a few places as a result of slightly poor adhesion to the laminate finish. A small custom designed hole appears in each corner. VG The Swedish manufacturer of cameras and photographic equipment, Victor Hasselblad AB, supplied camera equipment to NASA for the Apollo programme missions. Almost all of the still photographs taken during these missions were made using modified Hasselblad cameras.
