A Victorian silver tripod stand, by Elkington & Co, Birmingham 1855, the triangular base engraved with a floral sunburst below three claw feet with rams' heads above joined by a ring, lacking original glass fitting, inscribed to the base E. Jeannest fecit, 9.5cm high, 10.23oz Other Notes: Emile Jeannest (1813-1857) was a French Sculptor who came to England in about 1845. He worked for Minton's to work in Parian then joining Elkington in their Birmingham Foundry in 1850 producing bronzes. In good condition apart from the lack of a glass fitting
