A Victorian mahogany, oak and fruitwood three tier dumb waiter, circa 1850, each graduated circular tier joined by a turned support, on a tripod base with cabriole legs and ceramic castors, 124cm high, 59cm diameter Condition Report:** Marks, scratches and abrasions consistent with age and use. Cleaned restored appearance overall, with some fading, minor stains, lacking depth of colour. Some possible replacement blocks. Otherwise appears tidy overall
Unit, cvno in panel, cornucopia above, dolphins below, rev. figure standing right holding club, tripod in front, altar behind, ca-mv in field, 1.06g/7h (BMC 1889-90; VA 2065; S 318). Surfaces slightly porous, otherwise very fine or better, extremely rare; less than ten specimens recorded Provenance: Found at White Rodings (Essex) March 2002; J. Fay Collection; C. A Victorian walnut tripod table by Urquhart and Adamson, Liverpool, the lobed burr veneered top inlaid stringing, on a leaf carved stem and cabriole legs, the underside with the remains of a brass trade label inscribed `URQ....ADA, CABIN....MAKERS...LIVERPO...` and stamped `BROs` twice, 28.5in (72cm) h, 19.in (48.1cm) w. Restoration.
