JAMES SHORT OF LONDON; an 18th century mahogany cased travelling brass reflecting telescope, stamped 'James Short London 182/1231', on brass tripod screwing into the lidded mahogany hinged base, with sectioned interior, length 32.5cm. CONDITION REPORT: There are no additional accessories inside the wooden box. The box has been extensively restored and over polished. Some pitting to the telescope. General surface wear. The end cap is rather crude on the interior and is a replacement.
