A George III mahogany piecrust tripod table, circa 1770, the wavy edge top on a turned and carved stem, on carved tripod base, 69cm high, 83cm diameter Condition Report:** Marks, scratches and abrasions consistent with age and use. Old closed splits. Cleaned/repolished. Minor chips. Top/base probably associated. Later re-varnished. Carving to edge of topa nd base is probably later as fairly crudely executed. Metal fitting fastening top to stem has been replaced. Replacement of stretchers beneath top and wear beneath top suggests top and base are associated. One foot previously broken off and re-attached with assistance of a metal bracket beneath the foot.
A George III mahogany tripod table, circa 1790, the rectangular top with pie-crust edge, on a baluster stem, on three downswept legs and pad feet, 76cm high, the top 40cm x 51cm Condition Report:** Marks, scratches and abrasions consistent with age and use. Some old closed splits. One leg possibly replaced, with dowels. No obvious significant damage.
