A MID-VICTORIAN EBONISED AND HARD STONE SMALL TRIPOD CENTRE TABLETHIRD QUARTER 19TH CENTURY With specimen marble top on a baluster shaft and cabriole legs60cm high, 46.5cm diameter Condition Report: Marks, scratches and abrasions, old chips and splits commensurate with age and use.Additional scratching to the edges of the top generally in two concentrated areas (see images)The top is glued to the underlying stretchers (see images). The glue may be of a type that makes it impossible to remove the top without possibly damaging it. The top may possibly be associated to the base. No cracks or breaks through the top. Some possible old repairs/ replacements to the inset top. There is movement between the stretcher fitting and its fixture to the top of the stemThere is a large chip of loss from the uppermost top edge of the stem, there is some wear revealing the colour of the underlying timber and some very minor evidence of old worm (see images). One leg detached and re-glued. Was detached from the joins but also an element has broken but all present and re-glued into positionSome repairs, some small losses.
