A George II brass and pewter inlaid mahogany tripod table in the manner of John Channon and Frederick Hintz, circa 1740, the lobed tilt top with eight circular dish reserves inlaid in brass and pewter with faces within clover leaf, the middle inlaid with a mask head within trailing foliage and acanthus leaf inlay, above a turned acanthus leaf column on carved claw feet, 72cm high, 67cm wide It is impossible to say with certainty who might have made these tables. The role of John Channon has generally been put forward but a number of other makers such as Frederick Hintz, where there is an example of a table at the V & A, are recognised as makers in this genre. A similar lobed inlaid table attributed to Frederick Hintz sold at Christie's London, lot 67 in the 3rd November sale 2011.
A pair of cast iron firedogs, in the manner of Richard Norman Shaw, based on a thirteenth century design, spherical ball on flaring tripod foot, the square column with cast decoration, flaring arms and stylised mask terminal, with signs of gilding, unmarked, 26.5cm. high Literature Charlotte Gere & Michael Whiteway, Nineteenth Century Design from Pugin to Mackintosh, Weidenfeld & Nicolson, page 93 plate 99 for a more elaborate example illustrated. LARGE SOLID SILVER MULTI-SECTION CENTRE PIECE OF TRIFORM SHAPE, having three branches, overall decorated with flower heads and foliage above three scantily clad females carrying floral swags above heavy set tripod base, decorated with shells, foliage and flower heads, raised on three scrolling feet, having engraved armorial depicting shield surmounted by knights helmet and shoulder armour. London, 1843. Maker's marks for Charles Thomas Fox and George Fox. Approx. weight of over 170 Troy ozs. 53.5cm high. CONDITION REPORT: One of the females is detached from the centre piece but available, two of the female figures floral swags are broken but pieces are available. One of the branches fittings has broken off in the centre piece but the branch is available and the other branch, the fitting has broken off the branch itself so cannot be connected to the centre piece at this stage. Surface wear, minor dings, etc. as expected, hallmarks a little worn in places, no other obvious major problems.

A Chinese soapstone inlaid wooden rectangular panel, 20th Century, the variegated colour soapstone carved and inlaid in low relief with a figure standing in a pavilion beside a tree, another man and attendant, approx 33cm x 17.5cm, framed, together with a near pair of Chinese blue and white crackled glaze vases, late 19th Century, painted with Buddhistic lions within iron oxide borders, height approx 17.5cm (some faults), and a Satsuma Koro, Meiji period, painted with figural panels, on tripod feet, height approx 11cm (lacking cover).
A pair of Royal Doulton stoneware jardinières, each in the form of a cauldron, the bulbous body with gilt whorl decoration, flanked by three naturalistic handles, raised on tripod feet, impressed factory marks to base interior, heights approx 12cm, a Doulton Lambeth stoneware pin dish by Maud Bowden, the centre applied with a classical portrait medallions, impressed factory mark and incised artists monogram to base, together with a similar Royal Doulton Lambeth pin dish.
