A George II mahogany 'bird cage' tripod table, circa 1755, 75.5cm high, the top 59.5cm diameterCondition Report: Marks, knocks, scratches and abrasions commensurate with age and use. The top with two large splits - see images. Later blocks have been applied to the underside to secure. The stretchers to the underside of the top with filler applied over screws. A George III mahogany 'pie crust' tripod table, circa 1800, in the manner of Gillows, 69.5cm high, the top 45cm diameter Condition Report: Marks, knocks, scratches and abrasions commensurate with age and use. Old chips and splits. The stretchers to the underside of the top and the block at the top of the stem have a stained appearance and are possibly replacements. Some old repairs to moulded edge of top. Section of moulding to edge of top is detached but present. Filler or dark wax applied to three small areas of the top. Some filler applied to area of loss to centre of stem. Old repaired splits where legs meet stem (see images). Thin circle of later timber applied to underside of stem. Fillet of later timber applied to underside of one foot. A carved mahogany tripod table, circa 1765 and later, 74cm high, 58cm wide, 42cm deep Condition Report: The top and the base appear to be associated. It is possible the base was once a pole screen. The upper section of the stem and the block to the underside of the top appear to be later elements. Marks, knocks, scratches and abrasions commensurate with age and use. Some old splits and chips. One turned spindle to the gallery lacking. Some old glue repairs to gallery. Old dowel and glue repair made to split through one leg. Some old chips and splits. Some darker marks and scratches to top. Catch appears is an old replacement. Old filled holes are visible in the area around the catch from the previous fixture and there is a small area of replacement timber to the block at the top of the stem. A George III oak tripod table, late 18th century, 70cm high, the top 42cm diameterCondition Report: Marks, scratches and abrasions comensurate. Some old chips and splits. some old repairs. One repaired section at the edge of the top. This looks to be a section that has been knocked off and re-glued into position. The block joining the top of the stem to the underside of the top appears original. Some filler has been used to disguise old seperation/ loss. There are some later screws to secure and some neatly disguised plugged holes adjacent. Some old filled worm holes to the block No old breaks to stem or legs. The block joining the top of the stem tot he underside of the top appears original. Some filler has been used to disuise old loss/ division. Later screws have been added to secure. (see images) alternate plugged holes are neatly disguised to the block. Some fading overall. A well proportioned and attractive table basically in original condition. A pair of French Napoleon III Greek Revival gilt-bronze torchères,attributed to Ferdinand Barbedienne and possibly designed by Ferdinand Lenuain, each with anthemion and lion mask detail, fluted column and raised on an elaborate tripod base, each monopod terminating in paw feet and supporting a neoclassical urn-shaped oil lamp with cast figural detail,45cm diameter171cm high (4)Condition report: Urns possibly associated but both with the same gilding. One supporting anthemion bracket missing. Both appear to be lacking chains as there are eyelets surrounding the lion masks. Some marks, scratches and misshapen areas. General wear, tarnish and discolouration. The urn on the torchere locking the supporting bracket wobbles a little. Some slight wobble in the joints but generally solid and of heavy gauge.

Overpainted chips and scratches, and re-touching to lacquer throughout. 23cm split to the right-hand side of the top, of which 10cm is visible from the front. Knocks to rim of top. Some rubbing and losses to gilt. Splits to block at the top of the column. Joints a little loose. Possible repair to feet. Evidence of possible alteration. General knocks, scratches and wear throughout.
