A George III mahogany reading stand, the adjustable top above a frieze drawer, on a rise and fall stand and tripod base, 53 cm wide See illustration Condition report Report by GHTilting writing surface with some scratches, wear and marks.The bottom on the frieze drawer is loose and becoming detached, as a result, the drawer is a little awkward to open and close.Various chips around corners and edges of top.Both handles dented and misshapen.Ratcheting lifting mechanism reasonable.One of the ratchets has a small bit of loss.The tripod base and column is generally in good condition with a few dents commensurate with use.
