A 1980's Burdick Group modular executive desk by Bruce Burdick for Herman Miller, consisting of a floating/gliding plastic worktop, set with precision machined blades atop an aluminium beam, and flanked by various trays and shelves, above two hanging filing cabinets, on aluminium tripod supports. This all attached to another machined aluminium beam at a right angle to the first, terminating in a circular teak and formica work table on a matching tripod support.
