An attractive Turkish cevre, embroidered in silk satin stitch and gold thread on a fine silk gauze ground, probably Brusa second half 19th century, 36in. x 91.5cm. sq. And a Turkish yaglik, finely embroidered at either end with floral motifs in silk satin stitch and gold and silver thread on linen ground decorated with cypress tree and other motifs in white silk, the edges bound in cream silk and with a narrow cream silk border either end. Brusa early 19th century. Sold with all faults not subject to return. (2)
A Chinese summer ch'i-fu in embroidered silk gauze, the blue ground worked in couched silk and gold coloured metal brocade, the round bead fastenings in open-work gold coloured metal. And a Chinese embroidered satin ch'ang-fu (informal coat), the ground decorated with rows of coloured silk dragon roundels alternating with fish, the sleeves embellished with bands of contrasting silk embroidery, the collar matching. Both late 19th century. Sold with all faults not subject to return. (2).
