The makers have kindly confirmed that the guns were completed in 1987. They also confirm that in 1998 both guns were re-stocked, new fore-end woods fitted, re-colour-hardened and the Purdey name inlaid in gold, all by the makers. They appear to have seen little use since.

The gun was completed circa 1990 and appears to be virtually unused
