Angel Street is just a short walk from the site of the factory in Worcester. China Mill horses were an indispensable part of the workforce at this time in the factory. Owen had a special arrangement with the Royal Worcester factory in which his pieces were sold to them individually, before they were gilded and then sold on often many years later, see John Sandon, Investigating George Owen: The Lydia Starr Collection, Ars Ceramica, No.24 (2008), pp.14-5.
