STAR WARS: THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK (1980) - Yoda Skin Reproduction Display Derived from Original Puppet Moulds with Nick Maley Autographs - A reproduction of Yoda's skin faithfully reverse-engineered from surviving reference castings from the original moulds of the Yoda puppet created for Irvin Kershner's Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. Yoda, the beloved Jedi Master who trained Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) on Dagobah, was brought to life with a combination of a puppet sculpted by artist Stuart Freeborn and voice acting by Frank Oz. This detailed green foam latex skin was created by Nick Maley, the makeup artist responsible for creating the original Yoda moulds under Freeborn. Maley created the foam latex skins, ears, hands, and feet for all versions of the Yoda puppet seen in the film. This painstakingly reproduced green foam latex head with flexible urethane supports in the forehead and crown comes mounted via a wooden dowel to a resin display stand painted black and filled with sand for structure. Also included are colour-printed photographs of Maley working on the Yoda puppet in 1979, both alone and with his fellow ESB makeup, hair, and creature crew members; Maley with a 2018 reconstruction of the Yoda puppet; Maley with a rebuilt animatronic Yoda in 2020; a print-out of Facebook posts made by Maley during the animatronic's rebuild; and instructions sheets for caring for the display. CASABLANCA (1942) - US One-Sheet Poster - A US One-Sheet poster from the promotion of Michael Curtiz's romantic war drama Casablanca. The pinnacle of Golden Age Hollywood and perhaps the greatest romantic drama to ever grace the silver screen, Casablanca is a classic that has stood the test of time. Starring Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman, with brilliant support from Claude Rains, Paul Henreid, Peter Lorre and Sydney Greenstreet, this war-time tale centres around cafe owner Rick Blaine (Bogart) who is quietly sitting out the war in French Morocco until his old flame Ilsa (Bergman) re-enters his life with her fugitive husband Victor Laszlo (Henreid). Nominated for eight Academy Awards and winning three, Casablanca has an enduring popularity, with any posters from its initial release being prized by collectors worldwide.Designer Bill Gold said of this poster artwork: "My initial thoughts were to put together a montage showing all the characters depicted in the film. I wanted to have Humphrey Bogart in the foreground and Ingrid Bergman behind him looking on. I didn't want to give away their romance. The client loved it but said there was no excitement, so I put a gun in Bogart's hand."This example is conservation linen-backed with fold-line restoration and a single drawing-pin hole in three corners, with the top-left hole being slightly bigger than the others. There are four staple holes along each side and a tiny amount of paper loss on the cross-folds. There are also a few areas of very light staining that were not addressed during restoration, and the linen has been cut to the edge but is not fraying. The poster has been stretched lengthways by 1 cm, which is not uncommon during the linen-backing process. Many of these issues are not very noticeable and the poster displays brilliantly. MICHAEL JACKSON - The Omer Bhatti Collection: Michael Jackson's Black-beaded Necklace with Stone - A black-beaded necklace previously owned and worn by Michael Jackson. This necklace is Jackson's most well-known and recognisable jewellery piece. There are many photographs of him wearing the distinctive black-beaded necklace on and off stage. Some instances include: out in London with Lisa Marie Presley in July 1997; his exclusive interview with Barbara Walters on 7 September 1997, and on stage for the second leg of his HIStory tour. This lot comes from the personal collection of Norwegian rapper and dancer Omer Bhatti, to whom Jackson personally gifted this necklace in the early 2000s. Initially, the necklace was gifted to Jackson by a German friend, and it is believed he received it in Germany on the HIStory tour. It has not been worn since Bhatti received it, and the wear on the necklace is from Jackson wearing it frequently.Although Jackson was known for his heavily embellished outfits, he was not known for wearing much jewellery. His black necklace was a sentimental item and one of his treasured possessions. Jackson considered himself a spiritual person, so he would naturally gravitate to items containing stones due to their supposed special properties. Many reproductions and replicas of this necklace have come to market in recent years. It is rare for jewellery items associated with the King of Pop to come up for sale. The necklace comprises black-painted glass beads and a square-shaped gold-coloured metal pendant featuring a synthetic garnet stone. The stone is very dark red, which looks black. Attached to the pendant is an additional oval tag on which Dyrberg/Kern, the jeweller's name, is engraved. There are some gold-coloured paint remnants on the smaller beads either side of the clasp. The metal components exhibit light tarnishing, and the black finish has worn away on several beads. The lot is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Bhatti.Additional provenance:This lot comes from the personal collection of Norwegian rapper and dancer Omer Bhatti, who established himself through touring and numerous television appearances. In 1996, Bhatti met his idol Michael Jackson in Tunisia. After being impressed by Bhatti's dance moves, Jackson became his mentor, spending time with him while travelling and at Neverland. This led to a lasting connection between the Bhatti and Jackson families, which remained strong until Jackson's death in 2009.Estimate: £40,000 - 80,000 Ω Bidding for this lot will end on Friday, November 15th. The auction will begin at 3:00 PM GMT and lots are sold sequentially via live auctioneer; tune in to the live streaming broadcast on auction day to follow the pace. MICHAEL JACKSON - The Omer Bhatti Collection: Michael Jackson's Black Corduroy Shirt - A custom-made black corduroy shirt previously owned and worn by Michael Jackson. Jackson was pictured wearing his black corduroy shirt over several years, including during the Bad Tour rehearsals at the Pensacola Civic Centre, Florida, in early 1988. He also wore it in May 1998 when he visited Namibia, where he met with President Sam Nujoma and spoke at The Southern African Economic Forum. This lot comes from the personal collection of Norwegian rapper and dancer Omer Bhatti. It was personally gifted to Bhatti by Jackson at his Neverland Ranch, and the shirt came from Jackson's memorabilia room. Bhatti can be seen wearing the shirt with Jackson in photographs taken at Jackson's child's second birthday party. A recognisable piece of the King of Pop's custom wardrobe, this black corduroy shirt has red-and-gold satin embellishments on the collar tips and matching coloured epaulettes. A pocket adorns the right side of the chest, and seven metal buttons decorated with a coat of arms are affixed down the front. There are no size or maker labels, and the garment displays minor loose threads. However, it remains in excellent overall condition considering its age. The lot is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Bhatti.Additional provenance:This lot comes from the personal collection of Norwegian rapper and dancer Omer Bhatti, who established himself through touring and numerous television appearances. FRIENDS - THE ONE WITH THE PRINCESS LEIA FANTASY (1996) - Rachel Green's (Jennifer Aniston) Screen-matched Princess Leia Slave Costume - Rachel Green's (Jennifer Aniston) screen-matched Princess Leia slave costume from Friends. Unique folds sewn into the gold-colour piping along the brassiere and fabric patterning at the "belt" at the bottom screen-match to the episode. This costume consists of a maroon elastane-blend and silken brassiere top with gold-colour piping along the edges, gold-colour bars in the centre and small faux gems adhered to it; a pair of pink chiffon trousers with open sides, elastic ankle bands, a gold-colour belt element with swirling piping; and a pair of matching briefs.Following filming, overlapping piping details were removed from the brassiere, while the skirt was modified to allow it to loop around the wearer.
