A leather jewellery case, with rolled gold bangle, silver coin purse, enamelled mesh purse and miscellaneous costume jewellery. CONDITION REPORT: The silver purse weighs 28.5 grams. The mark to the bangle is PPLE 4 9CIGOLD, Metal core. There are also other items of costume jewellery and some cultured pearls in this lot.
A 9 ct gold cased ladies Rolex wristwatch, 1930's with Arabic numerals, the movement Rolex Prima 15 jewels timed 6 positions for all climates, the case stamped to the rear 36 12866 and with RWC Limited 9 ct gold hallmarked case. Case dimensions 16 mm x 25 mm excluding lugs, later strap (see illustration).
A ladies Rolex Cellini 18 ct gold cased quartz wristwatch, dial diameter 25 mm. Serial No. X644578, also stamped 5041, 18k to the rear of the case, the bracelet also stamped 750, gross weight 59.9 grams (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: This is an original Rolex. The strap is original and 18 ct gold. The watch runs when the mechanism is wound up. We cannot confirm if it keeps time accurately or not.
An 18 ct gold cased fob watch, with gold dust cover and with 9 ct gold part Albert chain with T bar, T bar and chain weight 9.2 grams, gross watch weight 38.2 grams (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The inner dust cover is not hallmarked. There is no inscription. The case diameter is 40 mm. The movement does wind and is ticking currently.
A late Victorian gold coloured metal five stone opal ring, Size P/Q. CONDITION REPORT: The centre stone appears to be in good condition with only very minor surface blemishes. The two second largest stones both have chips to the same side around the claws. One claw is missing. One of the smaller stones has a chip corresponding with a claw, the other stone appears to be in good order. The claws are all worn and there are a number broken and missing. The stones however are not loose and the shank is in generally good order.
An 18th/19th century carved giltwood jardiniere vase stand. Provenance formerly Berrington Hall by repute, purchased from the property before it was made over to The National Trust. Height 50 cm, diameter 37 cm. CONDITION REPORT: This has certainly been overpainted in places although some of the original gold leaf is present. The piece is a little loose at the joints particularly around the top of one leg. There are numerous chips and losses to the gesso and giltwork. None of the losses are particularly big but they are fairly numerous especially around the extremities and the feet.
An 18 ct gold diamond and blue stone cluster ring. Size N/O, gross weight 3.7 grams. CONDITION REPORT: There do not appear to be any scratches to the surface of the blue stone. We have looked at the stone under a x 10 loop. One point of the top facet seems to have a very tiny chip and there are other insignificant edge nibbles.
An 18 ct gold fob watch by Thomas Russell & Son, with foliate engraved case, machine made lever Russells Patented Click, the dust cover also hallmarked. Diameter 38 mm, gross weight 52.8 grams (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The movement does wind and is currently ticking away. There are no dents to the case.
