Vickery, 179, 181, 183 Regent St., W.height 80 cm., width 57 cm.Condition: Interior in good condition commensurate with age. An Edwardian silver mounted travelling desk set, Charles and George Asprey, Birmingham 1901/1905, comprising candlesticks, capstan ink well, easel back calendar, propelling pencil and pen, all within a fitted Asprey box (candlestick and inkwell hallmarked for Asprey and Co Ltd) (at fault) Condtion report: Candlesticks - Both with a slight wobble when placed on a flat surface. Felt may have been replaced at some point. Both with general tarnishing, residue, scuffs and scratches seen throughout.One seen with particular area of discolouration. Calendar - Dated 1906 Can't get into the reverse of the calendarTarnishing and discolouration seen to the silver. General scuffs and scratches, commensurate with being used. Ink well - Cover doesn't sit flush against the body. General scuffs and scratches, commensurate with being used. Tarnishing and discolouration seen throughout. Glass inkwell is loose within the body, may be a replacement. Pen and pencil -Both with tarnishing and discolouration. Nib of pen has deteriorated (see images) Interior of box is discoloured and shows wear throughout.
An Edwardian silver combination capstan ink well, Asprey & Co Ltd, Birmingham 1905, the hinged cover opening to reveal pocket watch within the cover, leading to typical plain polished body, 14cm wide, with an Edwardian silver capstan inkwell, Henry Matthews, Chester 1906, of typical form, 12.5cm wide, and further silver capstan ink well (all weighted) (3) Condition report: General tarnishing, residue, surface scratches and scuffs seen throughout all three ink wells, commensurate with age and use. Ink wells are all present. Chester hall marked example - Large area of scratches and dents. Dents also seen particularly to the cover of this example. Pocket watch is untested and a base metal example.Felt to reverse of pocket watch is a later replacement.

No 3725/5000 having Parker 18k 750 nib. In Original presentation box with booklets, certificate and cartridges. A Limited Edition Parker Snake Pen stand in Hallmarked silver on an ebonised rosewood base. No 32/100, in original case with certificate. A Parker Snake inkwell one of 50 that were gifted at the pens launch on 18th March 1997 in the Houses of Parliament, in original box. A Limited Edition photographic print by A Daniel Norman 228/400 in original package. Several Parker Snake pen press releases and promotional leaflets. In all an extraordinary lot well worth a view. The card covering the pen packaging box is slightly tatty but this lot is immaculate with the pen uninked.
