A small Arts & Crafts planished copper Capstan form inkwell and a small tray. Length 18 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The ink cap stand is structurally sound. The lid moves firmly on its hinge. The glass liner has no damage, just some discolouration to its rim. Some dents and scratches in line with age. The tray is also structurally sound but with one corner bent downwards significantly. Also signs of wear throughout together with ingrained dirt. Makers marks to the base of the tray are Birmingham Norman and Ernest Spittal. To the base of the ink stand it reads Rathbone 678 1902.

A Delft tin-glazed blue and white inkwell, 18th century, of heart form with central ink-well surround by three quill apertures, painted with floral motifs, 10.5cm long CONDITION REPORT:The piece shows surface wear, surface crazing, the odd firing pit, and chips and losses to the glazed finish throughout. One lobe of the heart shows a repaired firing crack to the lower edge.

British Victorian 1846 leather desk writing slope made by Turrill of Bond street, contains various bottles of ink, fountain pens, propelling pencils etc. Also with original Coombes patent 1844 vesta and inkwell this is a beautiful original piece that appears to have been used well into the 1960s.
