A mid 19th century rosewood and brass bound campaign writing slope, the hinged lid centred with a vacant cartouche enclosing a leather surface, dished pen tray, single inkwell and pair of brass candles sconces attaching to the recesses in the frame, width 50cm. CONDITION REPORT: Wear commensurate with age. Splits to veneer, replaced brass inlay, splits to base and some work needed to the interior.

DRESSING CASE.A crocodile dressing case, well filled with four silver mounted brushes & six silver mounted jars & bottles. The case also contains various cases including a manicure set (incomplete), curling tongs, stationery case, mirror, jewellery box, sewing case, card case, comb case, vesta case & inkwell. Also, ivory glove stretchers, paper knife & shoe lift. The set also contains a matched hinged tortoiseshell comb in green case & a book of Common Prayer indicating that this was a christening gift in March 1925. Silver mounted pieces hallmarked for London 1901/03. The front outer edge of the case stamped 'The Alexander Clark Manufacturing Company, 125 & 126 Fenchurch Street, EC.' The case complete with a leather mounted canvas foul weather cover.
