An eighteenth century Sevres breakfast cup and saucer converted to an inkwell with gilt bronze mounts. Ground in gros bleu, with seaweed gilding and having jeweled cartouches containing a scene with a courting couple and flower sprigs. Painted crossed L mark Condition Report. To be used as a guide only. Handle lacking. Cracked cup with two rim chips. Both pieces drilled.
A nineteenth century bronze novelty inkwell. Formed as a coiled serpent raised with glass eyes and raised on a rockwork base. Hinging to reveal a compartment below inscribed Ben W. Hawkins published Feb 5 1850, 13cm high. Condition Report. To be used as a guide only. Other models suggest that the piece should also incorporate a compass. No damage.
James Pradier (1790-1852). A novelty silvered bronze inkwell formed as a swan raised on an oval plinth surrounded by aquatic weeds. Its wings hinging to reveal two glass ink pots. Signed J. A good quality pair of brass candlesticks raised on squared bases with applied copper work detail depicting male profiles set within scrolling frames, 13 cm tall approx together with a white metal castor in the form of a standing owl with large inset amber glass eyes, 14 cm tall approx, a vintage travelling inkwell set within a leather clad case with spring loaded embossed cap and surround, a clear cut glass fragrance atomiser with plated mount and pale blue enamel border
Two pieces of 19th century Italian maiolica; a Cantagalli inkstand painted with floral and architectural motifs, with detachable inkwell and cover, length 17cm and a pilgrim flask painted with coastal scenes to both sides, with handles modelled as snakes, signed to base, height 14.5cm (af), also a continental cruet set centred with a cockerel on rectangular base (3). CONDITION REPORT: Inkwell has got traces of restoration to the scallop mould to the back and also to each corner of the shaped base, the rim and the cover of the inkwell also appears to be restored. The pilgrim flask has one of the snakes missing, chip to rim, a few minor chips to base, crazing and minor scratches throughout. Cockerel cruet has several chips predominantly to the cockerel itself and rims of the cruet, also the beak is missing.

May, Birmingham 1912, a very large hallmarked silver capstan inkwell with monogrammed lid and inscribed "From RH December 16 1920", hallmarks very rubbed, two other white metal topped scent bottles, a Ronson desk lighter, and a Dunhill pocket lighter, combined weighable silver approx 4.3ozt (10). CONDITION REPORT: Inkstand af. Pair of bottles OK. General wear elsewhere.
A George V hallmarked silver capstan inkwell, Napper & Davenport, Birmingham 1919 (hinge af), and a silver circular loaded ashtray, Sanders & Mackenzie, Birmingham 1963, diameter 7.5cm, also a Beswick figure 2273 "Goldfinch" and a 1914-1915 medal awarded to "14507 PTE WH BROWNHILL YORKS.L.I." (4).
