A Russian Kornilov porcelain plate, depicting a vagrant and wolf in wooded landscape, diameter 20 cm, and a 19th century Russian inkwell modelled as a shaped stove, bearing label "Circa 1840". CONDITION REPORT: The plate is in good order with no damage, no repairs and no restoration. The inkwell has no repairs and no restoration but does have some problems. The right hand pot has three small rim chips and is a little discoloured. The left hand ink pot is undamaged but discoloured and has firing marks. The base has five hairline cracks visible to the top. These are all old. There is also a hairline crack visible to the interior. The interior is extremely dirty. The piece is structurally solid and the hairline cracks old.

19th CENTURY LIGNUM VITAE CARVED INKWELL in the form of a Boxer dog's head, with glass eyes and leather neck strap, the top revealing brass interior and glass well. 10.5cm high (4.25"). CONDITION REPORT: Dog's right ear has significant chip, various surface wear, marks, dings, dents, scratches, glass liner may not be original, damage and losses to leather neck strap. Nibbles to rim below eyes. The wood is just suggested to be lignum vitae. Consigned by a private Carmarthenshire client.

Sn. & C., the swollen cylindrical inkwell with hinged circular cover and pink glass ball finial, with two pen green stone stand on a silver rectangular plinth with rounded ends, 14.2cm wide x 11cm high.
