Austrian cold painted bronze inkwell in the form of a Grouse on a branch, in the manner of Bergmann, tailfeathers stamped Geschutzt, some distortion to branch, length 23cm.Condition report:The branches are bent out of shape, so without applying pressure on the inkwell end it doesn't sit level as it was designed too. The bird end is too heavy and it topples to that side.

A Derby inkwell, c 1820, the compressed bowl painted with continuous flowers on three gilt kneeling child feet and triform base with whelk shell feet, 14.5cm h, painted red crown, crossed batons and D, and a contemporary French porcelain green ground encrier, on square base and gilt paw feet, 11cm h The Derby inkwell crazed and with some light wear, the reverse of the rim with a flat rim chip. Part of base and two feet with restoration. The French inkwell good, with some slight wear.

A Derby oval covered inkwell, c 1820, the domed cover with bud knop, the sides moulded with a band of festoons and arcading between beaded rims on a green ground, on four gilt paw feet, the interior with the pairs of crescentic compartment, sander and inkwell, 14cm h Some stabilised firing stresses/cracks, where necessary the gilding refreshed. Further manufacturing blemishes, i.e. pitting, green ground imperfections. The bud knop nibbled. Slight surface wear.

A William Tonks & Sons 19th century novelty brass grasshopper inkwell. Of natural form with reticulated limbs, the back opening to reveal an inkwell, marked 'Rd 149942' on the inside of the wings, length 36cm Condition Report: Generally in good condition. One antenna is loose. Mechanism functions. The joints do not fully align however still move. No signs of obvious repairs or re-soldering. Signs of wear including rubbing and scratches consistent with age and usage.

A cabinet maker made Walnut Davenport of very high quality, the curved lid lifting to reveal an interior with a pair of drawers and a pull-out section with a hinged gold tooled leather writing slope flanked by a pen tray and inkwell recesses. A secret latch reveals a rise and fall section with three drawers flanked either side by a pair of pigeonholes, whilst to the right hand side of the base is a flight of four drawers with turned wood knob handles. There is a pair of elegant scroll legs to the front with carved flower blooms and the whole is raised on turned compressed bun feet, 21 5/8'' wide x 22 3/4'' deep (min) 29 1/2''(max) x 35 5/8'' high (min) 42 5/8''(max).

A 19th Century Bronze Novelty Inkwell in the form of a Satyr on rouge marble square plinth, 4.5ins highThis inkwell generally appears to be in good condition with no obvious damage/loss/restoration. The hinge works well and the cover sits well. It has a pale bronze patination. The marble base has a very small flat chip to the left side as viewed from front, and a miniscule flat chip to the right side. There is a small flat chip to the lower corner of the base on the right side. This appears to have been polished. The original inkwell is absent. Width - 7.4cm x 7.4cm deep. The retaining nuts to the underside are original.
