A small quantity of collectors' items comprising a Parker Duofold fountain pen with 14ct gold nib, a Waterman Ideal fountain pen, a dip pen, a small square glass inkwell with brass top, an Art Nouveau style example, a cased planimeter bearing label for "J. Halden & Co, London, Manchester", serial number 36313, and a cased pair of opera glasses (7).
WILHELM ZWICK for KAYSER; a 1930's pewter coloured composition novelty inkwell and pen tray modelled as an early Mercedes Benz racing car with recess for inkwell beneath the bonnet, signed "W. Zwick" to reverse, length 39cm. CONDITION REPORT: The bonnet (the hinged lid for the inkwell compartment) has been smashed into two pieces and the hinges need replacing, there are a couple of small shards missing from the material too, the left figure has had his head crudely reglued, the inkwell is missing.
An Edwardian oak letter/writing cabinet, with doors and hinged top enclosing a letter rack, a pen rest and clear glass inkwell above two drawers and slot housing an original letter paper wallet (lacking key). CONDITION REPORT: The lining on the hinged lid is badly damaged and the strap on the letter paper wallet is ripped. Also there is a big loss to the back of the base.
RUSKIN; a group of five vases; a blue crystalline glazed vase of baluster form, impressed marks to base, dated 1930, height 21cm, a crystalline yellow gloss and blue matt glazed vase of ovoid form, dated 1930, height 17cm, a white and yellow lustre glazed baluster vase, dated 1916, height 16cm, an orange lustre glazed vase with flared rim, dated 1921, height 20cm (af), and a green lustre glazed vase with flared rim, dated 1922, height 7cm, also a purple lustre glazed inkwell ,dated 1925, diameter 9cm (6). CONDITION REPORT: The large matt blue glazed vase appears to be in good condition, there is just an imperfection to the glazing, the ovoid vase is in good condition, the yellow vase has crazing throughout, also small chip above base, and a hairline at the rim, the orange vase has a damaged rim, and scratches throughout, the green vase and the inkwell good condition.
A 17th century Italian bronze inkwell cover, with foliate decoration, possibly Venetian, 5.8cm high, together with a 16th / 17th century turned bronze finial decorated with four female masks, a gilt bronze finial with three busts of maidens and a gilt bronze corona.
