A 19th century boulle lady's work tableThe ormolu mounted hinged serpentine rectangular top enclosing the velvet lined fitted interior with some silver gilt mounted accessories and a pair of facet cut inkwells with scenic miniature inset lids, and a mirror, over a sliding work box, standing on ormolu caryatid capped sabre legs with brass sabot. 60 cm wide. CONDITION REPORTS: Some wear to ormolu, some small sections of brass lacking, some slightly loose, some patches of tortoiseshell possibly replaced, some small sections of tortoiseshell lacking, some fitments lacking, one inkwell lid cracked with small piece of glass lacking, scent bottle cracked, top section loose, general wear.

An early 19th Century Chamberlain Worcester desk inkwell, the rectangular body with hand painted floral sprays and gilt detailing to the moulded border edges, the affixed handle formed as a gilt laurel leaf flanked by two affixed pen stands formed as baluster vases, flanked by two affixed circular pots containing a separate pounce pot and ink pot decorated with gilt vines and garlands and conforming floral sprays, the whole raised to four claw feet, painted script mark, length 27cm .
A silver mounted cut glass inkwell, Birmingham 1900. CONDITION REPORT: The diameter of the base of the inkwell is 9 cm, height 8 cm. The cut glass base is in generally good order with no significant damage. There are the usual minor nibbles to some of the proud edges of the cutting but no significant cracks or damage. The silver top is in good order. It is a tight fit, shuts correctly and is not perforated.
