Richard Houston (Irish, 1721–1775), after William Hoare Portrait of The Right Hon. William Pitt, Esq., one of His Majesty's Principal Secretaries of State; and Portrait of The Right Hon. Henry Bilson Legge Esq., one of the Lords of the Treasury inscribed "Wllm. Hoare pinxit" and "Richard Houston fecit" reverse glass mezzotint (a pair) 36 x 25cm (14 x 10in) Some discolouration and browning. Both frames are dirty and discoloured.

AFTER JOHN HOPPNER mezzotint print - full-standing portrait of Horatio Nelson beside a rock and with sea battle beyond, 59 x 40cms, the print is in a laurel carved oak frame with an intriguing nineteenth century handwritten label verso which is partly decipherable, '....the frame is made from The Victory....June 20th 1840...' To accompany is a volume of Nelson's Dispatches Vol IV which was found with the print at the country house in Ireland from where the print was consigned.
