A rare print being one of the first animals that Thomas Weaver was commissioned to paint. 'Prizefighter' a Herfordshire bull was the winner of the Shifnal Argriclutural Show and Weaver was commissioned to paint twelve paintings of the bull. He quite rightly predicted that there would be an enthusiastic reception for prints of his paintings and the success of his painting and this subsequent print brought him the patronage of the Duke of Bedford.
