JOHN HOPPNER, RA (1758-1810) PORTRAIT OF THE RT. REV. BEILBY PORTEUS, DD, BISHOP OF LONDON Seated half length, wearing a black coat and hat, blue jacket, oil on canvas 74 x 61cm. ++ Relined; craquelure consistent with age, carved gilt wood frame. Engraved: in mezzotint by S. W. Reynolds, a copy of which accompanies this lot. There is a further small engraving of Porteus (artist unknown) in the lot.
