FRIDAY THE 13TH PART VII: THE NEW BLOOD (1988) - Mario Kirner Collection: Jason's (Kane Hodder) Stunt and SFX AxesJason's (Kane Hodder) stunt and SFX axes from John Carl Buechler's slasher sequel Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood. Unlike previous films in the series, Jason used weapons other than his trademark machete, including an axe to kill Russell (Larry Cox). This scene was heavily cut by the MPAA because of its graphic nature. The lot includes a rubber stunt version of the axe with a metal armature, and a fibreglass SFX version. The SFX axe head is cut down, with a small metal plate added, so it would appear buried in Russell's head. Remnants of stage blood remain. Both axes have paint wear from production use and age. Dimensions (each axe): 85.5 cm x 4 cm x 20 cm (33 3/4" x 1 1/2" x 8") Additional Provenance:This lot comes from the personal collection of Friday the 13th collector and historian Mario Kirner. This lot comes from the Friday the 13th Props Museum collection of Mario Kirner.
