A mixed lot of glass comprising eight pieces of Mdina and similar glass including one axe head vase dated 1978, a Victorian vaseline glass epergne vase, a Scandinavian style green vase, a bubble glass dump and a bubble glass ink well. Condition - good, each pieces appears free from any chips, general wear throughout.

A copper flat-axe blade with gently curved edge and square butt with hole, incised legend of four characters from the Phoenician alphabet ('alep, mem, nun, yod?"). 390 grams, 16cm (6 1/4"). A small silver axe with slender triangular-section blade and straight cutting edge, the blade extending to a thickened curved tang with four bronze rivets, the finial formed as a stylised beast-head with triangular ears and open mouth. 102 grams, 12cm (4 3/4"). Property of a European businessman; from his private Belgian collection formed in the 1990s; previously in a North American collection formed in Illinois in the 1980s. A Persian axe tabar. Qjar dynasty, wootz steel head 14cms, chiselled with lion attacking deer on both sides against flowering foliage, gold damascened borders with inscriptions, on its slender wooden haft covered with tinned brass foil (some damage), the eye covered by a soft metal mount containing applied turquoise (some missing or broken).
