An unusual early George III mahogany shaped rectangular gentleman's dressing table, the oversailing top incorporating a central hinged mirror, foliate carved cushion moulded and supported on curved brass bars and enclosing an arrangement of drawers with brass axe-head handles and secret compartments, flanked by a pair of lidded compartments enclosing further drawers above three graduated cockbeaded drawers to each pedestal, three further drawers to knee hole, cast brass foliate loop handles and escutcheons, bracket feet later, 147cm wide, c.1770 .

An old American Indian tomahawk pipe, 18” overall. Plain dark wooden haft with old pewter line engraved mouthpiece. An Italian bill-head (Roncone),circa 1500 in excavated condition, with tapering spike of flattened hexagonal section, flat hook-shaped blade and rear fluke, the latter with reinforced point, very small basal lugs and rectangular socket (the basal lugs chipped, the socket straps missing); a German halberd-head, early 17th century, with long slender tapering spike of diamond section, crescentic axe-blade struck with four marks on one side, long slender tapering rear fluke of rectangular section, and short socket extending to a pair of straps; another, late 16th/ early 17th century, with leaf-shaped central blade with medial ridge (the point chipped), S-shaped blade swelling at the base, down-curved fluke struck with a mark, and tubular socket (straps replaced); and two German halberds, second half of the 17th century, each similar, with central blade with low medial ridge, crescentic axe-blade, and moulded socket and a pair of straps (one halberd-head worn, the hafts each replaced) the first: 77.5cm; 30.5in (5)
