A French porcelain mounted gilt bronze striking mantel clock Leroy & Fils, Paris No.5319, last quarter of 19th century, the painted porcelain dial with gilt-heightened chapters and pierced brass hands, the dial and plaques decorated with medieval figures and heraldic devices, eight-day outside countwheel bell-striking movement, the back plate stamped `LEROY &FILS NO. 5319 A PARIS`, set into a figural panel and spiral pilaster cast ovoid case with reclining figure and shield cast surmount to the domed top above mace, axe and shield applied scroll cast waisted upright, the plinth base with shaped apron and scroll pierced feet, 12.75in. (32.5cm.) high.
