Patterson by his Colleagues in the General Valuation Office, Belfast, January 1915'', wirebound fishskin grip, leather-covered scabbard; a French 1831 Pattern short sword (gladius) (scabbard lacking); and a British military issue ice axe, with oak haft and webbing loop grip, the head stamped broad arrow mark, dated 1943 and bearing maker's name, ''Brades'' (3)Presentation sword - Blade badly rusted. Hilt with degraded, laquered finish. Scabbard with scuffing to leather and small losses to tip. French sword - Blade badly rusted. Scabbard lacking. Ice axe - Metal parts rusted. Otherwise good.
