Caprinus. A scarce Swedish 12-bore single trigger over and under gun, no. 1247, 27.5 -inch monoblock barrels with 3-inch chambers, machined ventilated rib, interchangeable choke tubes, the plain stainless steel receiver engraved with the makers name and trade mark Caprinus Sweden, selective single trigger, automatic safety catch, 14.25 -inch figured stock with straight hand, nitro proof, in its makers case with 4 additional choke tubes, stock removal tool etc, 7lb. 6oz. The Caprinus over and under shotgun enjoyed limited success in the early 1980Õs and was perhaps a little ahead of its time. The major innovation of its unique design was the monoblock hinge allowing it to achieve a very low profile of only 55mm and giving a large loadbearing surface. The design bears a striking similarity to the new Browning Cynergy.
