UK SHOTGUN LICENCE OR RFD REQUIRED TO BUY THIS LOT14.25" LOP The gun is in good general condition and shows little sign of use. The barrelsThere are no dents visible. They ring when tapped. The barrels are in proof and measure to the 18.6 proof stamp. The bores are free from pitting but could do with a clean.The blacking to the barrels is in good order with only very slight wear. The chokes will not unscrew with finger pressure and probably need soaking in release oil and perhaps the use of a tool to help budge them. The gun has 70mm chambers. The action The barrels are on face and tight on the action with no wobble with the forend removed.The actions function correctly with snap caps, opening the gun can be a little stiff, perhaps more use with help this.The stock is free from splits or repairs, there are occasional scratches use but nothing defacing.

The bores have some pitting marks throughout, some of which are too deep to polish out.The browning to the barrels is in good order with only slight wear, there is some light surface corrosion in small scatter patches. The barrels are on face and tight on the action. The actions function correctly with strong springs. There is a small dent to the edge of the forend opening lever, on the left hand side, this can be seen in image 19 online if magnified. The stock is free from splits or repairs, there are occasional scratches and dents from use but nothing defacing.The case shows signs of age, wear and use. There are surface dents and scratches. One section of fine brass stringing is missing, another section of stringing is lifting out and needs gluing back in place. There is a chipped repair to the edge of the lock escutcheon. The front face right hand corner has a short split in the wood, the joint however remains stable. The rear left corner has a section of veneer chipped. One retaining catch hoop has been replaced, there is a vacant hole where the original would have been. The green lining to the interior is worn in places.
