A hand-carved walrus ivory tool, possibly a harpoon counterweight or a small breast yoke to help carry heavy packs, with openwork between the faces for weaving cord or sinew. The upper face is finely incised with an abstract avian visage flanked by wings, probably representing the revered Thunderbird.
