A horn axe with a slightly curved profile, and a single, drilled hole, which allowed for attachment to a handle, making it an essential and versatile tool for the early inhabitants of Europe. During the Mesolithic era, these horn axes served a variety of functions, such as hunting, woodworking, and daily chores. The tapered shape and flared butt of the horn axe provided a secure grip and precise control, which was particularly useful for chopping, splitting, and shaping wood, as well as for skinning and butchering game. The MoD ordered custom-built wristwatches from 12 Swiss watchmakers: Buren, Cyma, Eterna, Grana, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Lemania, Longines, IWC, Omega, Record, Timor and Vertex. Each company was given the specific brief of providing watches that were accurate, reliable and durable, with a black dial, Arabic numerals, luminous markers, a railroad minute track, shatterproof glass and a stainless-steel case. No matter the maker, these watches can be identified by the engraved 'W.W.W.' on the reverse, as well as the broad arrowhead mark on the dial, inner case, and reverse, and both military and civil serial numbers on the reverse.Case with surface scratches, case with minor dents in parts, back cover with opening tool scratches, plexi glass with scratches and cracks, later strap and buckle not by Omega, dial with some slightly staining marks, dial Arabic numerals are clear, hand setting correctly and winding smoothly, movement in going order.
