2004 Ferrari 575M Maranello Transmission: automaticMileage:11094The Ferrari 575M Maranello is a two-seat, two-door, grand tourer which was launched in 2002, it is essentially an updated 550 Maranello featuring minor styling changes from Pininfarina. The 575M was replaced by the 599 GTB in the first half of 2006. Updates from the 550, included a renewed interior, but with substantial improvements mechanically, including bigger brake discs, a larger and more powerful engine, improved weight distribution, refined aerodynamics and fluid dynamics along with an adaptive suspension set-up (the four independent suspensions are also controlled by the gearbox, to minimize pitch throughout the 200 milliseconds shift time). Two six-speed transmissions were available; a conventional manual gearbox and, for the first time on a Ferrari V12, Magneti Marelli's semi-automatic (Electro hydraulic manual) 'F1' gearbox. The 575 model number refers to total engine displacement in litres, whilst the 'M' is an abbreviation of modificato ('modified').This Ferrari 575M, offered in the desirable colour combination of Verde Zeltweg Green over a beige leather interior, was acquired by the current vendor in 2007 and has resided in his private collection since. During his tenure, it has been maintained where necessary and has covered a mere 11,094 miles from new. The paintwork and interior are in fine fettle with no sticky dashboard issues, common with Ferraris of this era. The vendor reports that it runs and drives very well indeed and has recently been treated to a cambelt service in August 2021 by Ferrari Specialists, Rardley Motors. Contained within the history file is a collection of maintenance invoices detailing the care of ownership coupled with the original Ferrari booklets with continuous service stamps, previous Mot test certificates and the UK Registration document. Also included are the original maintenance booklets and tool kit. This very well priced, striking example is one of the best we have seen and is an opportunity not to be missed. Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.
