CONDITION REPORT: It is difficult to date Copeland Spode Italian ware as it was produced from 1816 onwards. These pieces have the oval printed mark and many have the impressed Copeland mark with crown and our best guess is that it is principally 19th century but this is very difficult to be absolutely certain about. There are numerous other Italian patterned pieces in this sale which are clearly later with much more modern back stamps. It would probably be safer to assume that, whilst many of the pieces are Victorian, some could be as late as the 1930's, it is difficult to tell. The largest meat plate length is 37 cm and the two smallest ones are 26 cm.
