TWO MEISSEN (MARCOLINI) CABINET CUPS AND SAUCERS CIRCA 1785 Each with monochrome decoration, one with a portrait of Frederick II of Prussia and the other with classical scenes in the manner of Angelica Kauffman, within a Konigsblau ground and gilt border, each with blue crossed swords and star marks Condition Report: Small nibbles to the finials, slight wear to the gilding in places, especially the rims and slight wear to the wells of the saucers. Three Victorian Wileman Foley (pre-Shelley) Empire shape trios, late 19th century, each decorated in a thistle pattern against a graduated pink ground, green printed maker’s marks and gilt painted pattern number ‘9341’ to bases; with three further Wileman Foley Empire shape teacups and saucers, pattern numbers ‘5044’ and ‘5045’ to bases (15) (at fault) CONDITION REPORT:One thistle pattern teacup shows crude repairs; one shows a full height stained hairline crack; and one shows fine crazing throughout. One thistle pattern side plate shows a hairline crack approximately 3cm long.One blue patterned teacup, the puce patterned teacup, and the puce saucer show extensive fine surface crazing. The other blue teacup and the blue saucers ring when pinged.

Sebright’, each with puce maker’s marks for 1915 (at fault), the saucers with Margaret Bentley Collection labels (4) CONDITION REPORT:The Newnylon/Lockyer cup and saucer shows fine surface wear but no obvious chips, cracks, crazing or restoration. Both ring when pinged.The Roberts/Sebright cup and saucer each show a chip to the rim. The cup shows an extensive repair, and the saucer shows staining to the underside.

A Copeland porcelain part tea and coffee service, mid 19th century, comprising: ten teacups, ten coffee cups, twelve saucers, and a footed sugar bowl, each piece with green printed mark, registered design lozenge for 1852 and painted pattern number 8838 to base (Qty) (at fault) CONDITION REPORT:Three teacups show stained hairline cracks. Three coffee cups show stained hairline cracks, and one shows repairs. One coffee cup shows no obvious damage but does not ring when pinged. One saucer does not ring when pinged. All pieces show age-related surface wear and rubbing to the gilt highlights throughout. Some pieces show ingrained dirt.
