His work often carried social and political messages, addressing issues such as AIDS awareness, apartheid, drug addiction, and LGBTQ rights.Key aspects of Keith Haring's art include:1. **Iconography:** Haring developed a distinctive visual language characterized by simple, bold lines and bright colors. His artwork often featured iconic and easily recognizable symbols, such as radiant babies, barking dogs, flying saucers, and dancing figures.2. **Pop Art and Graffiti Influence:** Haring's style was influenced by street culture, graffiti, and Pop Art. He started his artistic career by creating chalk drawings in subway stations and on advertising panels, and his work often blurred the lines between high and low art.3. **Social Activism:** Haring was an openly gay artist and a strong advocate for social causes. This move was somewhat controversial as it challenged traditional notions of art and commerce.Tragically, Keith Haring's life was cut short when he died of AIDS-related complications in 1990 at the age of 31.
