A Royal Stafford Garland pattern teawares with turquoise ground, together with a Paragon Victoriana Rose pattern teaset Condition Report: Royal Stafford - 6 cups - one cracked 10 plates - two are badly worn, 12 saucers - all have wear to the gilt, but four quite badly worn. There is wear to the gilt on all pieces and they have a smooth feel to them. Paragon - two sugar bowls, one cracked, two jugs, both ok, 6 cups, 11 saucers (2 chipped), 12 plates. All have utensil marks to the surfaces.
Attributed to John Piper (1903-1992) Six cups and saucers, circa 1960 mustard glaze, the saucers bears signature with initials saucers 17.5cm diameter, cups 15cm across; together with letters and postcards written by John Piper and John Betjeman. Provenance: Given to the current vendor's family by John Piper at his home in Oxfordshire.
